A wonderful hotel! Every member of staff is attentive, kind and works hard to please. They treat people individually and make them feel special.Rooms are comfortable and as the hotel has had a refurbishment they are clean, modern and are user friendly.
There is a heated outdoor pool and a baby pool and outdoor play activities for children.
Food is good, varied and Ricardo ensures there can be no complaints. He is ace!!!! Nothing is ever a problem or trouble to him and he has a good sense of humour,
The sea view from the Sun Lounge is magnificent and days of rest and relaxation can be enjoyed. The sunset is fantastic. The garden is a place to rest and enjoy the beautiful quiet location and sea view. We have been many times and recommend this hotel without reservation. We will be back next year!

Room Tip: Rooms will be chosen for you if you have special requirements but all rooms are quiet . Pay extra if...

This was my first stay at Highlands, although members of my family have been before and recommended it highly, based on their past experiences under the hotel's previous management. One area that was particularly considered a high point of the hotel in the past was the food.

First the positives: The location is absolutely stunning. Views over the Sea, beautiful walks nearby. It's an oasis of tranquility. The only downside to the location is being tucked right at the edge of the Island, you are a fair distance from anywhere, so a car is essential.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, with good quality bedding and peaceful comfortable rooms. The weather was moderately warm but not hot when I stayed, so can't comment on air conditioning / heating.

Facilities wise, it's well appointed if not exactly remarkable. TV in the rooms, a nice swimming pool, a small but quite well kitted out gym. Big plus point here is excellent free Wifi throughout the hotel.

Now the negatives:
The decor is rather dull; not exactly contemporary or brimming with style. Despite having been recently done, it has a rather 1990s feel to it. It's Nothing hideous though, just bland and a little dated, as I said, it's all very clean and well kept.

The biggest negative was the food:

The breakfast choice was somewhat limited, if you're used to being spoiled by a big buffet breakfast in a large hotel you will be disappointed. On the face of it, the choice looks good: You can have a "full english" or a "Continental". However, the "Continental" breakfast does not include a croissant, which is somewhat novel. The full English was not of the highest quality unfortunately. The Bacon was consistently dry and overdone, and the single sausage was..well....dire. The Continental option however featured a plate of actually rather nice ham, with some rather less nice cheese...I'd say this was a better bet. No bread roll with it, and the toast was somewhat erratic in quality.

The evening meal was considerably better quality, and perfectly edible, but not exactly a holiday treat. The food was cooked perfectly well, but just struck me as being of low-budget quality in the first place. Fortunately Jersey is covered in fantastic restaurants serving amazing food, so my advice is go B&B and eat elsewhere in the evening.

Over all, the below average food was quite a shame because if The Highlands put some significant effort into upping the food quality then this would be a 4 or even 5 star review from me rather than 3. It's otherwise a clean, quiet, efficient, friendly and well run establishment.

We recently stayed at the Highlands Hotel on our first trip to Jersey and we loved everything about this family friendly hotel. The location was fantastic with incredible sea views and the staff were so welcoming throughout our stay. The pool area and children's playground were brilliant for our two young children who had the best holiday of their lives! We had not been to Jersey before but will definitely return and will keep coming back to the Highlands Hotel!

Not my original choice of hotel but will be next year as I plan to return to this restfull hotel.
The Highlands is situated in a quiet and relaxing part of Jersey with amazing sea view,a very short walk from Corbiere lighthouse to watch amazing sunsets. Staffed by helpful and attentive staff there is only one Ricardo!! nothing was too much trouble. Hotel rooms and guest areas very clean and inviting to use. Could do with the pool being available for use earlier in the day although it was left uncovered for an early morning swim, if had been available earlier would have liked to swim every morning before breakfast. Expect other guest thought the same.
There is a varied choice for breakfast and a varied dinner menu, breakfast is filling and will last you until lunch, the evening meals I chose were very good, especially the amazing Lobster.

If your looking for a quiet relaxing hotel to either explore from or send the day by the pool you couldn't go wrong choosing here.

Room Tip: Couple or twin rooms appeared to have views over the back of the hotel pool and seaview. If a single...

We stayed there for 2 weeks and had one of the balcony rooms which were renovated recently in a beautiful maritime style. Rooms are very clean and comfort is rather four star, lnly minibar is missing. Manager and staff are very friendly and care about their clients. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the garden with the outdoor pool. The view from the garden is amazing and as the hotel is located outside of the town it is very quiet to relax and enjoy. English breakfast has very good quality and offers everything that we could think of. We did not try the restaurant in the evening. Enough parking spaces available. Fitness room available and ok, but we have not really used it.

Room Tip: The balcony rooms have amazing cliff and sea view and are absolutely quiet

A mistaken web search led us to discover this hotel which changed hands three years ago and has been refurbished since. If you choose a balcony room you get a fantastic view of cliffs, and beach.
Helpful staff, very nice layout (make sure you go up to the circular lounge, especially at sunset). All you would want from a hotel of this rating and price, but what makes it is the position on the southwest of the island, away from the hubbub (and traffic) of St. Helier, but right on the wal;king route round the coast. A good place to get away from it all.

Room Tip: Balcony rooms 100-106!
