“Views to Dine for”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

Corbiere Phare has one of the most spectacluar views in Jersey overlooking Corbiere lighthouse, a great place to dine in the evening and watch the beautiful sunsets and boats going by. The restaurant has been refurbished and has smart decor. We had lunch from the set menu which was reasonable value at £14.50 for 2 courses. I had the Moules as a starter which was served with nice crusty bread. For the main course I had the smoked haddock which was good. I found the service was helpful and friendly. Overall I would say good rather than very good. It is one of those places that is good to visit from time to time.

“Could have been better”
Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

We ate here on a saturday. There is enough parking. The view of Corbiere Lighthouse stunning. The restaurant is also very clean and contemporary. I ate from their A'la Carte menu and had Tempura prawns, Seabass and sticky toffee pudding desert. It was delicious. I could not fault it. Portion sizes were moderate, however my 3 other companions ordered from the pre fixe menu. The steak was of a very thon cut, so asking if it we would like it well done was pointless as it was so thin. One companion had fois gras starter , was good and moules by other 2 guests, no bread provided! No steak knives provided. The wine we ordered never arrived and we had to ask again during our meal and the waitress had to bring the menu again because it wasnever written down. All in all a bit disapointing. One guest was a first time visitor and also felt that we would mot rush back. The rest of us live localy have dined here prevoisly and felt the service pn this ocassion to be poor, considering the restaurant was half empty!! Good , but could be better!

“Over priced and fairly poor service”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Party consisted of 4 women in 30's and 40's who live in London and enjoy eating out.

This was the worst meal we had on a 3 day stay in Jersey. Everything was rushed. The starters arrived almost instantly and the mains landed as soon as the starter plates arrived. It was overpriced and really not that nice. I had seabass which was dry and overcooked. The "tomato, olive mash" had no tomato and one olive.

Best part was the amazing view of the coast and the lighthouse. The view doesn't make up for the poor food, but maybe go there for a coffee.

Unimpressed. Would not recommend.

“Great Views and food.”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

Walked here from Jersey Pearl on a misty morning arriving just in time for a welcome lunch served by pleasant staff. While eating lunch we watched the mist clear from Corbiere lighthouse. Good value food and wine and nice quality.
