We visited this hotel for 6 nights in April 2011 when the Royal Wedding was happening and have till now forgotten to put in a review. I have to say it is a beautiful building, stunning views, lovely gardens, very very kind and helpful staff & we had a lovely sea view room on the second floor ( or could have been third, lots of steps but good for us). Fabulously furnished.

My only critisism is that it did not have any soul, & by this I mean, it had a lovely bar/breakfast area & a barman/person to do everything post 6ish in the evening. No restaurant, which is not a problem as there are so many very very nice places, just five mins away, but It lacked atmosphere and therefore I would only class it as a B & B, a very very nice, in fact beautiful B & B. It is not that I wanted it to be have loads of facilities, but something going on if you wanted it to post dinner ? maybe i am being pickey & apologise if I am. Please people reading this do not be put off by my comments as it is lovely in every aspect.

Breakfast was exceptionally yummy as well.

Room Tip: Seaview is stunning as you can see the whole bay & the tide coming in and out- all the shipping...

Just returned from a three night stay at La Haule Manor. Had a nice room on the second floor with sea view. The hotel has an intimate feel to it and Craig, the manager is very helpful.
Great breakfast with fresh fruit salad and cooked breakfast made to order. Homemade lemon curd and delicious bread. All served by Craig the manager. Although the hotel was full, he always found time to talk to the guests.
Had one afternoon around the very nice heated pool. Also a hot tub which we didn't try. Ten minute walk in the evening to restaurants in St. Aubins.
Looking forward to returning to La Haule Manor. Many thanks to Craig. The service is what makes this hotel so special.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a sea view.

Just back from a restful 5 night break at La Haule Manor. The accommodation is luxuriously furnished and spotlessly clean. There is a warm and welcoming atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for the manager, Craig, and his staff. The grounds are superb with a fabulous oudoor heated pool and hot tub. Pool towels are available at the poolside and the changing rooms by the pool are equipped to a very high standard. There is a good selection of newspapers from The Mirror to The Times set out each morning in the lounge and there is free wi-fi which was very reliable. The hotel has obviously recently undergone a very extensive and expensive refurbishment. We were in room 3 on the second floor with fantastic views over the bay. Luxury Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries are provided and replenished, and the hospitality tray was well stocked with good quality products. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. The hotel doesn't have a lift and the stairs from the 1st to second floor are quite steep so be aware as the breakfast room is down another floor from reception.

There was an extensive choice at breakfast - in addition to the full English breakfast there were kippers, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, omelettes, pastries, croissants, cereals, fresh fruits (pineapple, grapes, bananas, apples, oranges, pears), tinned fruits (grapefruit, peaches), fresh fruit salad, fruit compote, yoghurts, speciality breads, meat, cheese, fruit juices and all manner of preserves, peanut butter etc. The chefs at breakfast were excellent and breakfasts were cooked fresh to order. You can get sandwiches and cream teas throughout the day as well as teas/coffees and drinks from the very well stocked bar. The hotel does not do an evening meal but there are a number of excellent restaurants a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

There were some minor niggles with our room which we discussed with Craig and he was glad for our feedback. The bathroom whilst recently refurbished had no fan, and no shelf or anywhere to put toiletries. The toilet was very difficult to flush. It frequently didn't work first time but then you had to wait an age for it to refill before you could have another go! The bedroom had a lovely bay window with a table to sit at but only one chair! The curtains pulled across the bay rather than into it so you had to move the table and chair into the bedroom if you wanted the curtains shut. The TV was in a cupboard facing the bed - the doors didn't open fully back so you could only watch the TV in certain positions on the bed - and I walked straight into the doors twice when coming out of the bathroom. There was a full length mirror in the wardrobe but as you couldn't open the wardrobe door fully due to it opening onto the bedroom door closer you had to get in the wardrobe to look at yourself!!!
Despite the little niggles - would I go back? I most certainly would.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel have fabulous views

Have just returned from seven day stay at La Haule and as this was our first time to Jersey we picked one of if not the best accommodation in the St Aubin area. The cooked breakfast to order every morning was a perfect start to the day but be warned not for weightwatchers. We were in room 16 which was a suite with separate lounge and balcony( unfortunately the weather did not allow much time to enjoy the views) but was very relaxing. Our room was kept spotlessly clean by the housekeepers. Full marks to Craig(a fellow scot) the hotel manager who was always available to help with any requests in a friendly and efficient manner. Do not be put off because the hotel is only bed and breakfast as you are spoiled for choice of restaurants in St Aubin which is truly only a ten minute walk from the hotel or if needed taxis are easily available. St Hellier is a busy town with plenty tourist attractions . We decided not to hire a car as the country lanes are very narrow and used the local bus service which was always on time and was an easier way to view the magnificent coastal scenery. The weather was mixed but did not spoil a most enjoyable break

Room Tip: Suites at the front in the new extension are excellent

Thank you Greig, I'm sorry the weather wasn't good during your stay here with us at La Haule Manor but I’m glad that it didn’t spoil your visit. As you mentioned, car hire is not really a necessity here at La Haule, with 4 different busses passing and stopping outside our front door. I’m glad you liked our hearty breakfasts and I look forward to welcoming you back soon.

This is the 8th time we have stayed at La Haule Manor and we always enjoy ourselves.
Everything as good as usual, very clean and in a great position for a stroll down to St Aubins for an evening meal and a few drinks.
St Aubins has lots of restaurants and the staff at the hotel are happy to recommend and book a restuarant for you. If you are there on a Saturday I would suggest you book somewhere to eat as places do get full at the weekend.
The only down side and this is just a comment is when you want to check out and pay your bill in the morning there is no one on reception as they are still serving breakfast downstairs. You have to go down and find Craig (the manager) and wait for him to come up and prepare your bill. Maybe someone on reception from 8.00 - 11.00 might help. Apart from this a great stay and we'll be going back again in August!

Room Tip: Upgrade to a sea view, it's worth it!!

Second time we have stayed here and it made our break in Jersey, for myself and my 80 something Mum.
We booked several months before however having asked for a twin room on a low ground floor we were given a double, as the hotel was fully booked we had no choice but to stay put, however this was not a problem, the room was a "Luxury" which was so big that they could fit a full sized single, which was very comfortable. The room was in the newly developed wing on the ground floor, so that mum managed the stairs down to the breakfast room with no trouble at all. Really nice high spec deco, French Regency, very large bathroom, shower and bath, large flat screen with 2 easy chairs and coffee table. All staff very helpful, grounds and rooms kept to very high standard, breakfast very good with vast choice.
It was even warm enough to relax by the pool! where towels were provided, nice touch. It could not be situated in a better place, directly on the bay, near resturants. Fantastic stay, thank you La Haule.

A fantastic boutique hotel/ B & B across the road from the beach. We stayed in the suite on the second floor which was stunning. The freestanding roll top bath and walk in shower were an unexpected treat. The room was decorated beautifully and we could hear the sea at night. Great breakfast enjoyed on the terrace in the sun. New manager Craig was excellent - friendly and happy to recommend restaurants and attractions. Hotel perfectly situated for a seaside stroll to St Aubin with an amazing choice of restaurants. Swimming pool was warm and big enough for a proper swim. Lots of parking. Only slight downside was the proximity to the main road but though a bit noisy by day it was very quiet at night.
