Just back from a short stay at the Hotel Cristina, 18-21 May 2011.
The Hotel is in what can only be described as a fantastic location with superb views over St Aubin's Bay.
We found the Hotel to be extremely clean, and our room was spotless, extremely comfortable and well equipped with the important balconied sea view.
The restaurant served a very good selection food at breakfast and evening meal dishes from the two menus were excellent.
The chef was able to provide me with a Gluten Free option to most of the meals on the evening meal menus.
All the staff were helpful and attentive without being too much.
I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting a great hotel with fantastic views.

Room Tip: Go for sea view rooms.

The Hotel Cristina always lives up to expectations and this year's visit was no exception. This was our second stay at Cristina and we are planning to return in September. The friendliness and welcome we received was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble whether it be reception staff, bar staff (Ashkan in particular) or restaurant staff (Simeon). We have always had a sea-view room with balcony and the views to wake up to each morning from our spotless hotel room are breathtaking. We compliment the service provided by all the staff and the cuisine this year is fantastic. We will be returning to Cristina again and again, there is no place better to enjoy a holiday or mini-break.

Room Tip: A sea view with balcony

We have stayed at the Christina for many years.
It is still a very high quality hotel even though the ownership has changed.
The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times and the service was excellent. Karen in the dining room was very attentive and is a people's person.
The cleanliness of the hotel was second to none.
Entertainment needs to be improved.
We will be booking again for next year

Room Tip: Book a room with a sea view and balcony

Have just returned from a four night stay at the Cristina. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more attentive with the manager coming out to greet us and assist us with our bags.
The hotel is immaculately clean in all areas, we stayed in room 30 which was an inland view room, next time we would definately book a sea view room as the views from most of the hotel are stunning.
We did have a problem with our room in that we had hot water coming from the cold tap in the wash basin. We reported this and although it could not be remedied due to plumbers being scarce on a bank holiday weekend the manager wrote us a letter explaining the situation and offered to change our room and the staff made sure we had plenty of cold bottled water so no great problem.
Food wise, breakfast was excellent with very attentive staff ,one evening we dined in the restaurant, again excellent.
There is a beautiful terrace with views to die for which is wonderful for enjoying a glass of wine on in the evening as well as a comfortable lounge/bar area.
Access to the hotel is a bit tricky but with a bit of practice we managed it ok, if you are unsure you can always go past and turn round at the top of the hill and approach that way.
We would definately stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it others.

Room Tip: Its definately worth the extra to get a sea view m

We stayed at the Cristina for 3 nights over the Easter holiday weekend, the hotel is very clean and well presented, we had a ground floor room but even then had a gorgeous view of St Aubins bay. The room was spotlessly clean and tea, coffee and milk in plentiful supply. We did not eat dinner at the hotel but breakfast was great a really good selection enough to satisfy even the fussiest of customers.
The one downfall for this hotel for me was the drive way in, the drive was very difficult to negotiate from both directions as it is on a steep hill and on a corner, not for a nervous driver or passengers!
Overall a lovely hotel worthy of its 4* status

Room Tip: got for a high floor

This was our first trip to Jersey. We were greeted by the manager with a very warm welcome who showed us to our room. Walking through the coridor to our room there was bit of a fustly smell and some of the hotel needs a bit of TLC but our room was lovely. Nice and spacious with a sea view and small balcony (205). My wife took her own pillow as she prefers a feather pillow. Not sure if they do feather pillows if you need one but the ones they have ar OK for foam pillows. There was an extra quilt in the room if you got cold and it did turn chilly on the nights we were there. The room has the usual tea and coffee making facilities and was spotlessly clean. On the Monday it was our wedding anniversary and the chef did us a marvellous sea food platter. (Once again many thanks - it was fantastic). In fact all the food was fantastic, the head chef is great and the waiters and waitresses give excellent service. My only minor complaint was that the baked beans at breakfast were not baking hot as the bowl they are kept in is not heated. I am sure they woud have warmed them up if I had asked because nothing was too much trouble and the service was excellent all round. Everytime we saw the manager he asked if our stay was OK and if there was anything we needed. If you like walking you dont need a car and there is a shortcut through the back garden down to the beach. Other holiday makers told us the bus service was good but we didn't use them ourselves. It was a lovely place to stay and we will defintely return. Next time we will fly as it was a 4 hour ferry trip from Weymouth via Guernesy and the sea was pretty rough when we travelled. The duty free alcohol and perfume on the ferry was cheaper than we found on the island. We found that eating out was fair value for money and the fish in the fish market was cheaper that we can get it where we live. Thanks to all the staff for such a memorable stay.

Just returned from a four night break, which was over the extended April/May bank holiday weekend. Our first visit to the island, my parents in-law have been regular visitors to this hotel for some years, and my husband, daughter( 20) and son( 17) and myself joined them on their holiday, to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. Can't really fault the hotel, U turn into the enterance a little nail biting, but apart from this hard to critise. Fantastic views, our rooms had just been decorated and were extremely well presented with very comfortable beds, and expceptionaly clean and comfy bedding. A fridge in the room would have been a bonus, but the hot drinks tray had a wide variety of products, that were topped up daily, including the biscuits!

Breakfast was of a very high standard, lots of choice both hot and cold, and staff brought a choice of toast and hot drinks to the table, which made a nice change from the current trend that some hotels seem to have adopted, where you have to jostel to do your own toast and hot drinks while balancing everthing else.

We ate in the resturant on the Saturday evening to celebrate my husbands birthday, food was very well presented and of a high quality. The chef made a super cake that tasted as good as it looked. On top of all this the staff were lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. Diego and Simon looked after us extremely well at the celebration meal. I would strongly recomend this hotel for anyone wishing to have a relaxing short break/ celebration or weeks holiday. I only wish we could have stayed longer!
