a lovely and well appointed building, very nice staff and excellent service, the food however, was average and the wine cellar very odd. Not sure how they store or choose their wines but taste is very suspect. The decor is very dated and in need of a bit of a face-lift.

We always have a meal here whilst on holiday in Jersey. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere & the staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu is varied & also includes a menu of which you get 3 courses & coffee for £26.00. The food is very tasty & well presented. We both had steak which was cooked to perfection. We usually ask for a table by the window & if they can accommodate this they will. This means marvellous views of St Aubins Harbour - a very pretty part of Jersey

Third visit to the old courthouse and we had the same fantastic service as the previous two. The staff can not be more helpful, twin room (we usually have the suite) was good size lovely bay views and en-suite. Thanks to kirsty and nicky again for making our stay welcoming and we shall see you both soon.

On a Sunday evening 12 of us sat down to a meal - we chose from the wide choice on the well priced set-menu (only one of the mains was no longer available). Drinks and bread arrived quickly followed by superb starters - everything beautifully cooked and fresh. The main courses were of the same high standard and served together, which doesn't always happen when 12 people order together. The puddings did not disappoint and the waiting staff were very helpful throughout - even providing coffee for those to had to wait a while for a taxi. The final bill for food and wine of this quality was very reasonable - especially in this location. Will certainly return again.

.....and this is even worse! Ordered 2 meals - starter and main course - and both looked and tasted like they came out of the freezer! It was particularly disappointing because we ordered fish dishes which you would expect to be fresh and of high quality given that Jersey is an island. The mayonnaise offered to accompany the dishes was certainly not fresh - it had a thick greasy film on it. This indicated that it had been sitting around for perhaps a week or more!!
