We have always enjoyed this restaurant, pleasant surroundings and good friendly staff. However on this occasion we were left wanting. We chose to go for main course and desserts instead of starter and main. We couldn't face three courses so soon after Christmas. The main courses were wonderful, the lobster with spring onions and ginger superb, as were the other three choices. However the desserts left a lot to be desired. Described as the special of the day, the Irish coffee profiteroles turned out to be more shoe than choux, the hazelnut tiramisu more like melted ice cream and the torte was too hard to eat. So disappointing, it hasn't put us off but in future we will stick to starters instead of desserts. As a gesture the desserts were taken off the bill.
