“Nice for a couple of days”
Reviewed October 8, 2010

Took my Dad for his 80th Birthday, he wanted to see the 'War stuff' on Jersey.
The Beachcombers is a nice little hotel, about 10 minutes drive out of St Helier. You really need a car, and here is the first of the problems, the car park in inadequate for the amount of cars. If you went out in the evening, you stand NO CHANCE of parking your car on the shingle. People were churning up the grass areas to park.
The rooms we had ( 2 single) were adequate for the couple of nights we stayed, but I would not have wanted to stay any longer in them, there is also not really a 'lounge' as such that you could sit in, the area is like a Hallway, so when Dad wanted to read a paper and wait for me to get ready to go out, other guests were constantly having to ease past. No good for a little snooze!
Breakfast was adequate, did not have evening meal.
Nice little hotel for a weekend etc, but a larger car park and a conservatory would transform it!

The Hotel Service was second to none, nothing too much trouble for the staff.Fresh towels and beds made daily. The hotel is well located for the sights in the east of the island ,being ten to fifteen minutes from Gorey and St .Helier for its shopping. The pleasant decor and friendly staff makes the Beachcombers a desireable choice for a three star hotel.
The restaurant was also very pleasant, with a menu catering for all tastes. The bar area although small was quite adequate. The only downside was the lack of lighting in the car park.We will certainly be returning next year.

Good value for money. Four of us went to Jersey on a four day break staying at the Beachcombers. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Good hearty breakfast and we stayed in the hotel for a meal one evening and found it to be of a high standard. We hired a car at the Airport and found the hotel to be in a quiet, rural location, and easy to find, with plenty of space for parking. Room clean and with tea/coffee/biscuits facilities. All in all it made up for a very good break. Drink prices in the bar was a bit expensive, but I suppose expected.

Our original trip in April was cancelled due to the Icelandic ash cloud, the hotel kindly re-scheduled our trip to September. The rooms where extremely comfortable, the staff welcoming and plenty of choice at breakfast.

My husband and I returned last Friday from a 6-night stay at this hotel and we would thoroughly recommend it. Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and cleaned to a very high standard each day.
We had only booked B&B but did decided to eat here for 4 of the nights and the evening meals were very good and we thought very reasonably priced. The breakfasts were excellent with a selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and croissants with full English also available. It is served on a buffet basis so you help yourself to what ever takes your fancy.
The pool area is very pleasant and the hotel is in a lovely setting with fields either side and overlooking countryside to he rear. We will certainly return to this hotel in the future.

Just got back from four days break in Beachcombers Hotel and must say had a thoughly enjoyable stay. After a short flight from Manchester to Jersey, jumped in a taxi to hotel and was treated to a narrated tour from the driver across the Island.

On arrival we were shown to our bedroom by the male receptionist who very kindly carried my suitcase. The room was at the top of the hotel and was quite roomy with three single beds. It was quite warm doing the night but that is our only complaint.

We were All inclusive so we had wine with our meals and from 6pm to 11pm all our drinks from the bar were included in our tariff. This was ideal as nothing is cheap on the Island.

James the Manager seemed very pleasant when we met him but the young girls serving us in the hotel restaurant were always smiling and very accommodating.

All in all a very enjoyable stay, a big thank you to the whole team.
