Arrived looking forward to valentine's break away. Hugely disappointed. Had booked " Dinner, bed and breakfast" for 2 nights. When we arrived at reception we were told we had bed and breakfast and 1 dinner. Had to be very insistant and eventually it was agreed we had booked 2 dinners for the price! When we got to our room it was freezing as radiator broken in room 65. Had to ask for a change of room. Service was mediocre at best. It is a corporate, faceless and soulless hotel. Food at dinner was good and everything else was awful. Would not consider returning.

We were given a present of a visit with afternoon tea, dinner with wine and Bnb.
The room was beautiful with stunning sea view. The afternoon tea was delicious of which we took away some cakes as we were full. There was a big Rugby match on and they got a big TV put up in a separate room. Poh, looked after everyone making sure we were all comfortable. She at dinner was so friendly and helpful.
Sissel at reception gave us so much help, information and attention.
The dinner was lovely and enjoyable.
Breakfast was lovely except for the literally uncooked rashers, which had to be sent back twice and still were not crispy. Another review from October says the same so strange that this issue still happening.
Beautiful antiques and decor throughout.
However, we will definitely be returning.

My partner and I stayed at Tinakilly House for 2 nights over a weekend, to celebrate our anniversary and everything was perfect from the start.
The staff was very professional and friendly. Sissel at the reception went the extra mile to make our stay magical. She was absolutely amazing and we can see how much she likes her job.
The food in general was tasty and nice. We really liked the breakfast with the cold buffet.
The bedroom was really well decorated and the sea view was incredible. Bed really comfy and the bathroom was sparkling clean.
We loved everything from the start and we would definitely come back in the future!

We stayed here this passed weekend, myself, husband and 6 month old son. Tinakilly is just beautiful. It has been preserved so well. The grounds are stunning. Two friendly resident cats. The food is amazing.
We stayed in a junior suite. So spacious and decorated with antique furniture and paintings.
This place is so warm and cozy and really makes you feel at home, if home was a beautiful Victorian mansion!
The one thing that really made our weekend was the staff, Every member of staff was so friendly and could not be more accommodating and helpful. We were given different options to dine in more quiet rooms with our baby if we wished. The blonde lady at reception made it her business to get to know the guests and really made everyone feel like this house was our home. I can not wait to stay here again and will definitely be recommending to family and friends.
We really had the most enjoyable weekend here.

We were recently gifted 24 hours of a bliss you don’t get everyday. For a start it’s rather quaint well worn place, and obviously not part of a chain.

Be warned, it’s a popular wedding venue, so difficult to get a weekend booking. It’s old, full of character. The bar man is a character, the receptionist is a character, the boss man is a character( he intrigued us with his determination to evict a local black cat who was equally determined to be part of the scene.)

The hospitality is old style and of of a high standard when we arrived midweek it was full of locals having afternoon afternoon tea, late lunches and a couple tippling away at the bar. Patronage by locals is always a good sign of a place in my experience.
A resounding recommendation from my wife and I.
