Stayed here for two days recently. Received a warm welcome, the staff are all pleasant and very helpfull. The house itself is very gracious with a long history attached to it. It has beautiful old furniture. our room was very comfortable and the toiletries in the bathroom were very nice. There is a comfortable bar area overlooking the front gardens. The meals were exellent. An absolute pleasure to stay here and cannot recommend it enough.

We have not been here in a while but used to love going there chilling in the lounge and eating the day away. We arrived last week for a few hours of the day to have lunch in the lounge. We ordered soup for myself and a club sandwixh for my wife. The young fellow serving us was pleasant and well trained. When the food arrived the soup was ok and bread was great. However my wifes Club Sandwich was really disappointing. The bread was toasted - however on the side of the bread which sandwiched the club together was all burnt and the outside of the bread was lightly toasted. It really was pure black, the chips also were reheated in oil at least 2/3 times and looked awful. We told the waiter who brought it to the kitchen to amend the situation, however the chef said that the club sandwich was chargrilled????? Now I ask you Chef, how come you chargrilled it to the point of being total black on one side??? and apparently we were told club sandwiches can be untoasted also, food came back rectified but chips still disappointing. When you go in the main door of the hotel and turn left go straight down and into the middle door straight in the lounge we sat there. I sat in the chair in the corner by the lamp and what I saw there disgusted me. Under the lamp were a load of cobwebs with dead flies in them, evidence that the housekeepers have not cleaned it in years and that management have never really inspected their own property. Appaling over all for such a place that we had fondness for. It was a rip off and a horrible day and we will not be returing for the disgusting food, appaling mannor of the chef on duty and then filth of the place...check out the cobwebs for yourself

The Tinakilly is an amazing hotel, our room was very big with views to the garden, it was a pleasure to stay there!

The hotel lobby / interior is very nice as well, you feel like in a castle. :-)

The breakfast was delicious, the choice of cooked breakfast was different every day and always so tasty!

I would definitely recommend it and would like to go back there one day!

Myself and my boyfriend booked a room in Tinakilly for 2 nights(Friday and Saturday) and my god did we have an incredible time. From the moment we drove up the driveway we knew we were in for a treat. The staff at reception were a delight to deal with, both friendly, helpful and polite. We were upgraded to the captain's suite as soon as they saw it was available, we had booked a superior room but were extremely impressed that we were upgraded. This to us spoke volumes. The room was incredible, almost as big as an apartment we had loads of room to chill out and take in the character that Tinakilly has to offer. We arrived late on the Friday evening (about half 8) and we were both starving, reception were so helpful in recommending places to eat in Wicklow town. The lighting in the hotel is so romantic with its chandeliers and the cozy furniture make it a perfect place to relax. On the Saturday we got up early and went down for breakfast. It did not disappoint, fresh orange juice, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for me and a full Irish for himself, fresh fruits with Greek yogurt and a selection of croissants etc.The breakfast was something else we were both stuffed leaving. We went for a walk on Brittas bay and then came back to enjoy some more of our beautiful surroundings and enjoyed a drink in the bar. The weekend was just perfect and most of this was due to the fantastic service, staff, food and atmosphere Tinakilly has to offer. It made what was a magical weekend and we will be in no doubt returning very soon.

Room Tip: If you can afford it pay that little bit extra for a superior room/ suite. Well worth the little bit...

We recently stayed for 3nights on a B&B basis in a junior suite availing of the Summer offer with the third's night stay being free of charge. The well appointed and comfortably furnished room with
en suite bathroom was very clean and spacious.
Breakfasts offered an amazing selection of both hot and cold local produce and more pleasantly
the hot dishes were cooked to order.

The Early Bird Dinner was truly excellent and great value at 35 Euro per person for three outstanding courses. The French Chef deserves compliments and the home made breads and pastries are second to none.

All members of staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and glad to assist at all times.

Thanking You for a truly enjoyable stay.

We stayed in Tinakilly for a nice weekend break away from our busy work schedule and loved it! All staff at the hotel are very helpful and so accommodating!
We brought our 8 month old daughter with us and when we arrived her cot was set up in the room already and she loved the attention all the staff gave her!!
We had lunch in the bar on one of the days, the steak sandwich is lovely! Dinner in the restaurant was beautiful, the food was fantastic and the service excellent too!I can highly recommend the chocolate fondant:-)!
The hotel is very close to Wicklow town, which is nice for a little walk around and we went for a few walks around the gorgeous gardens of the hotel too!

All in all a great weekend away and we will certainly be back!!

When we checked in, Marion was SO helpful and accomodating, over the top! We had just arrived in Ireland, our first time driving...OMG.... and my first question and of course, the MOST important question was, what time does the bar close? Marion's reply was "when ever you want it to close" and then she offered to keep the fireplace going. She was AWESOME, what more could you ask for? UNBELIEVABLE! She also suggested some places to go in town and we ended up at The Bridge Tavern, which was really fantastic, fun, full of energy and great food. When we came back, we had a couple beers in the beautiful sitting room, fire ablazing, it was awesome. I felt like a millionaire and only wished I had a cigar...
Casey, the gal at the desk the next day was great too. She was really friendly and printed out some directions for us , she was just lovely. This is a beautiful victorian mansion with big rooms, crisp clean sheets and plenty of hot water. The mansion comes with some wonderful history, don't miss Captain Halpins display case. The grounds are beautiful, quiet and serene.
If you have time, take the walk down to the water. A GREAT place to stay, with GREAT people delivering awesome customer service, at a GREAT price! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

Room Tip: I don't hink there's a bad room anywhere in this Mansion.
