Description: Hugo's Restaurant offers guests a wonderful dining experience and has been awarded two AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence. Our chefs bring a distinctive, creative flair to our food offering and our dishes offer a delightful variety of flavour and textures using the freshest of seasonal ingredients. The chic interior design of Hugo's coupled with the bright and airy atmosphere and gorgeous woodland views makes for a lovely dining experience. The room is minimalist in style with wood-panelling and a soft grey and teal blue colour scheme with comfortable velvet booths.

Recently dined in Hugo's restaurant as part of a 1 night package and was suitably impressed. We had 3 excellent courses, from a set menu, and I would gladly eat all 3 again. The restaurant was busy on the Sunday evening we dined but certainly not noisy.
We were offered some bread to start with and, being a pair of chancers, we asked if we could sample both. No problem of course and both the Guinness wheaten bread and cheese & onion scones were simply divine. My seafood chowder was plentiful and full of fish.
The good lady wife thoroughly enjoyed her pate and accompanying toasts. Two generous starters in my opinion. We both had the roast lamb for our main course and this did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked and came with a selection of veg and a portion of potato gratin to share.Again we both settled on the same dessert, vanilla panna cotta.A wonderfully light pudding indeed. The addition of raspberry sorbet, ginger biscuits and caramelised rhubarb really enhanced this rather safe choice. This was also beautifully presented and inscribed with happy anniversary, which was a nice touch.
Tea and some exquisite shards of chocolate literally finished us off!
Special mention must go out to our heavily pregnant waitress who looked after us and made sure we had a wonderful anniversary meal. Thanks and we look forward to dining in Hugo's in the not too distant future.

Lovely food at Hugo’s and the staff are very attentive, especially when we were a table of 20! If you’re staying in the hotel then you must visit the restaurant. Highly recommended.

My partner and I dined in Hugo’s last night and we were very disappointed with the food, we had 3 courses from the TDH menu and each of the courses left a lot to be desired. We were served bread by the waiter and I found a hair in the butter, I complained about the food as my partner left most of his starter and main course however the waiter that served us did not seem to care and did not even apologize. I would definitely not recommended dining here if you are staying at Druids Glen.

We stayed in the druids glen hotel for our annual spa trip in work..there was 4 of us in total and stayed for one night with the meal in hugos restaurant included, €600 in total..the staff in the restaurant were lovely but the service was very bad for a 5 star restaurant...we arrived at 8.30pm for our meal and got our starters by 9 but waited until 10.10pm for our main course to be served after several times asking had they forgotton about us as the dishes from the starters were left on our table for adleast 30 mins after we had finished them. The restaurant was not busy at all and i felt they hadnt got much time for us as they had already gotten the money for our meal and the table beside us were ordering from a different menu (paying that night) and had 2 waiters serving them and clearing there table and giving alot of attention to them and kept walking by our table..the food was ok not great. Best off booking just the room in the hotel and eating in the bar which we did after this meal in hugos as we were so hungry after it!

5 star disappointment. The staff have been excellent and very attentive. The atmosphere and overall feel of Hugo's is nice but iv defiantly had better food in McDonald's. The bread offered when we were seated was without a doubt the best part of the entire meal. The food was absolutely the biggest downfall of this entire hotel which in every other respect was fantastic. All in all the food was buffet quality at a 5 star price!
