We arrived on a rainy evening after a long day of scenic drives. Our hostess welcomed us with a smile and an offer of tea. She showed us our rooms, which were modern and spacious yet with a warm feel. The rooms were sparkling clean. Our room had blackout curtains, which are perfect for this northern latitude in June. Our hosts gave us directions to sights in the area, including places for dinner. After a restful night, we were treated to a filling breakfast that started our last day of driving just right. If we ever have the opportunity to revisit the Glendalough area, we will definitely stay here.

Bramble Rock was our last stop before returning to Dublin for our flight home. Ann and Ger Duffy have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Our room was clean, very comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The shower had great pressure, the towels were fluffy, and a hair dryer is provided. There's room to hang your clothes and put your suitcases. There's even coffee and tea in the room. Plus the breakfast prepared by Ger each morning, is wonderful. I recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled egg! The Bramble Rock is very well situated for exploring the Wicklow Mountains and all they offer. Brochures are available for you to plan your adventures. We would go back in a heartbeat! The Finsteads

What a perfect introduction to our bed and breakfast experience in Ireland. Stayed here our first night, a perfect location--close to the sites in Glendaloch and we could walk to the village. Ann was helpful and kind, the breakfast was wonderful and the room was spacious with comfortable beds and a great shower!! Thanks Ann and Ger.

We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed it. I would have no hesitation in returning.

The lady who runs it was so welcoming when we arrived. She showed us to our room and kindly offered to make us some tea. The tea, cake and bread was just what we needed after our journey.

We had never been to area before so needed some recommendations of where to eat. The hostess recommended a local restaurant. We had a lovely romantic meal there. The deserts were especially good. I can't remember its name but it was covered in paintings of Irish Writers. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find as its quite a small village.

The room was absolutely brilliant. It reminded me of my own bedroom if I'm honest. The bed was really comfortable. The TV had all the sports and movies channels. This was so handy as their was some sport on early the next morning.

The only thing is the walls could do with some sound insulation. I'm easy going so it didn't bother me that much but we could hear the couple next door talking very clearly. I'm quite sure they would've heard us later on that night but sure.

The breakfast was beautiful- a full Irish Breakfast. The lady who runs the place was very patient with a large group of foreign travellers who were looking for directions even though their English wasn't great. This really stuck in mind. Its so important for our hospitality sector to have this attitude as tourism is what our Country needs. I suppose its what sets us Irish apart from the rest of the world.

The location of this B&B is perfect if you want to travel around the Gap of Wicklow.

Enjoy you break.

Our third stay, we catch the ferry from Dun Laoghaire the next day- a convenient 50 minutes away, and very easy to find the way. The bonus for us twofold: the really beautiful landscapes of the Wicklow Mountains, and the absolutely wonderful hospitality and comfort of the B&B and the warmth of Ann & Ger.
We fully endorse every positive comment in other reviews; it is not possible to suggest how the experience could be improved. You are made to fell truly welcome (tea, cakes, conversation), and you leave feeling you would be welcome back anytime- and we have found out twice that you are! (And a fantastic breakfast!)
Perfect for ferries, walking, sightseeing, and I would think very easy to get to Dublin for a day to see the sights whilst staying somewhere much better than you’d find in the City.
The hosts, Ann & Ger, are the most genuinely hospitable people you could hope to meet.

Ann & Ger run a very tight ship. This guesthouse was very clean, beautifully run, with very comfortable beds and a great breakfast. Ann was a wonderful host and gave us a lot of helpful information about what to do & see in Glendalough - very useful, as this was our very first night in Ireland. (She even very kindly took off some eggs we had bought for a picnic lunch and boiled them for us.) Our room was large, the bathroom had a window (I am phobic about bathrooms without windows), and the shower was good, with strong pressure. We had a delightful couple of days here - a great introduction to Ireland - and left feeling ready for anything. Thanks to both of you for a great beginning to our tour of Ireland.

Our first night in Ireland could not have been better. Ann and Ger were perfect hosts. Ann helped us plan our activities and organised our dinner reservation. A purpose built B & B, with lots of space and excellent facilities. The B & B is close to restaurant facilities, only 500m to the Heather and close to walks and historic buildings. Throughly enjoyed our visit, unfortuantely it was too short.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.
