Having heard many good things about Chakra I was very keen to try in and did last night.
What a treat. It was packed on a Saturday night and it appeared booking was essential; the atmosphere was excellent.
The staff were great too, very attentive and good at ensuring your wine glass was kept topped up.
Of course, the real star here is the food. It's not cheap, but the quality is very good indeed. Many of the items won't be found on a traditional Indian restaurant's menu, like the Monkfish, Seabass and Scallops.
The lamb three ways was fantastic and the crab cakes absolutely amazing.
All the mains were lovely, perfectly cooked, unusual and very tasty. I asked for my Chicken Murgh Makhan to be really hot but the waiter advised that it would overpower the dish so just made it a little spicier. It was perfect! The Monkfish was very unusual, tasty without being at all spicy.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
