The premises was also awarded Destination of the Year 2013 by the prestigious McKenna's Guides (formerly the Bridgestone Guide) together with Good Food Ireland's Food Lovers Choice Award 2012The delicatessen sells some of the finest of Irish Artisan produce and was shortlised for Best Local Food Shop in Ireland 2013. The restaurant serves this fish simply (as it should be) and lets the flavour of the fresh fish do the talking.

This is a delicatessen, fish shop as well as a seafood restaurant and café. It is about 20 miles south of Dublin’s city center in the heart of a charming seaside town of Greystones. This place is owned by the Caviston family that also owns Cavistons of Sandycove.
Although the food here is good, but it is not as good as Cavistons of Sandycove. The sauces are more buttery but the soups here are better.

All things considered, our preference is Cavistons of Sandycove.

Wow, this was so good we went back the next lunch time. The seafood chowder was to die for. Fish dishes were excellent. My daughter (who lives in Greystones) tells me the breakfasts are equally as wonderful, especially the french toast. Only drawback is the lobsters in their tank, presumably waiting to be picked and eaten - so sad, daughter who is a vegetarian says she could feel their misery.
