“One of the worst restaurant in Ireland !”
Reviewed February 18, 2012

On this nice sunny weekend, we decided to give a try to this restaurant... What a mistake !
The only positive point was the waiter who was nice.
The restaurant was quite dirty (floor, selling) and the food... just tasteless !
We had the ginger an carrot soup (no taste at all) and ordered some pasta with cherry tomatoes: it came as pasta too cooked with tomato puree directly from a can!

“With Bell's On!”
Reviewed February 4, 2012

Backstage @ Bells is a must visit! The Wicklow fillet (OMG) and rib eye steaks were amazing and cooked to perfection, Pork Belly was a huge hit, try a Smokie on the starter choice, I was raging I didnt have that, but my mushroom's were very close competition. House wine, one of the best & a very good price, there is a full bar which was great for one of our party who is not a wine drinker. Eton Mess & chocolate puddings to finish, I tried a little of each (research again) really good! Staff were exceptional and the restaurant itself is cosy and welcoming, there is a area outback for smokers, with fairy lights & candle, shawls are provided for chilly nights. All in all a great night out. Of course we will be back!!

“Superb service, excellent food”

One of the most enjoyable meals we've had in 2011. Look forward to plenty more in 2012.

“Why haven't I tried this before.”
Reviewed November 5, 2011

We tried Bels only after failing to secure reservations in some other better known establishments in the town - we were not disappointed. In fact we were all blown away by the food, the presentation and the service. Sat at the back which was a warm and relaxing retreat on a chilly night.
Not cheap but definitely worth it as a treat.
