“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We had our wedding reception at Rathsallagh House on the 6th of July and we have been thinking about writing this review for some time. Our biggest challenge was trying to find the right words to convey how wonderful Rathsallagh House and all its staff are! From the moment you walk through the door, the owner Joe and his family, the wedding co-ordinators Gillian,Catherine and Trish and every staff member make you feel like you are walking into a home away from home. We were so lucky to have great weather and had our drinks reception in the beautiful walled garden surrounded by acres of breathtaking wicklow countryside. The meal was delicious and guests are still commenting on it 3 months later! The attention to detail and professionalism was evident throughout our weekend there, even all the little things behind the scenes that our guests told us about afterwards, made our day so special. Our advise to anyone reading this review: If you are trying to find a dinner destination with gorgeus locally sourced food and great service, book a table here. If you are looking for a romantic getaway with beautiful rooms full of character and peaceful countryside, book a room here. If you are searching for the perfect wedding venue to host one of the most special days of your life, look no further!Grace & JohnRoss

Dear Grace and John. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Gillian, Catherine and Trish are over the moon that you give them such a wonderful mention. As are the team in the kitchen lead by the great Nico. We wish you both long life and happiness, and thank you for giving Rathsallagh the honour of hosting what was a fantastic day. We hope to see you both back at Rathsallagh soon

How could it have taken us so long to find this beautiful house ! We live just over the other side of the Wicklow mountains and whilst I had many times heard the name Rathsallagh House it had taken us till now to go and stay. This house is pure luxury. From the moment you drive up you get a feeling of relaxation and calm. The bedroom we were allocated was in the courtyard and it was one of the nicest bedrooms I have ever stayed in. Bathroom was huge and the views out of the bedroom were of some cows grazing lazily in the back field. Bliss. That evening we had dinner and the service and food were both excellent. The wine too was excellent and in my opinion it was very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and you were made to feel like your needs were the only one they had to atttend to. We will definately be back and we will recommend this house to all the residents on the "other" side of the Wicklow Gap who may not realise what a gem they are missing out on.

Thank you for a lovely review. We are so thrilled that you found us and enjoyed Rathsallagh so much. Its beautiful at this time of year , and just now the russet colours of Autumn are beginning to creep in. Your room was out in the coach house as we call it and those double ended baths and walk in power showers are fun. Do pop back over the Mountain and see us again soon, we do a traditional Sunday Lunch most weekends( reservations are essential as it can be busy ) and of course we have our Faulty Towers dining experience coming up on the 16th October next. Thank you again for taking the time to write a really lovely review. From all at Rathsallagh.

This hotel is well located and within easy reach of good shopping venues around Dublin. We found staff to be very courteous and the owner and his wife pleasantly involved in 'hands-on' participation. Room was very comfortable and food very good and well presented.
We enjoyed our 2-day break on our return to Belfast from Longueville in Mallow. Looking forward to return visit to Rathsallagh.

Hi Colin & Catherine, thank you for a lovely review. We are privileged to live here in Rathsallagh, it really is a different World and yet is only 50 minutes from the centre of Dublin. Although we do host exclusive weddings , we also cater for individuals and couples and small groups as well. Please do come back and visit us again soon, we have some fantastic Christmas Party nights coming up and of course our Faulty Towers Dining Experience in October. Thank you both again from all at Rathsallagh

We just got married at Rathsallagh & had a fantastic time. We stayed for 2 nights & booked out the entire venue. Service was great, food was excellent. The wedding organisers were so attentive. The golf course is also of very good quality. Would recommend it very highly.

Welcome home from the honeymoon and thank you so much for taking the time to write a lovely review for us. We remember you and your guests well and we were only delighted and honoured to host your wedding here. Rathsallagh is wonderful for weddings as you found out , and one of the main reasons for that is you get to take over the entire property exclusively for yourselves, its like one big warm house party. Please do come back and see us soo and thank you again. From all at Rathsallagh

I love this hotel, I have been there twice and will go again this year. The big big baths in the room are pure luxury! This hotel has country house charm, you feel you have gone back in time and like The Lord and lady of the country manor. The food is excellent, the views stunning, the staff wonderful, I cannot complain. I particularly love the plates they use in the dining room. Scones and tea by the fire mmmmmm cosy and the bar is great, love it!

We think it’s the slow pace at Rathsallagh that helps to wind people down and give them a little break from a hectic lifestyle. We just love it when people buy into that and feel as relaxed and of course welcomed as you did. If you fell like a little madness around December do check out our Christmas party nights. Please do come back and visit us again soon.
