We just got married at Rathsallagh & had a fantastic time. We stayed for 2 nights & booked out the entire venue. Service was great, food was excellent. The wedding organisers were so attentive. The golf course is also of very good quality. Would recommend it very highly.

Welcome home from the honeymoon and thank you so much for taking the time to write a lovely review for us. We remember you and your guests well and we were only delighted and honoured to host your wedding here. Rathsallagh is wonderful for weddings as you found out , and one of the main reasons for that is you get to take over the entire property exclusively for yourselves, its like one big warm house party. Please do come back and see us soo and thank you again. From all at Rathsallagh

I love this hotel, I have been there twice and will go again this year. The big big baths in the room are pure luxury! This hotel has country house charm, you feel you have gone back in time and like The Lord and lady of the country manor. The food is excellent, the views stunning, the staff wonderful, I cannot complain. I particularly love the plates they use in the dining room. Scones and tea by the fire mmmmmm cosy and the bar is great, love it!

We think it’s the slow pace at Rathsallagh that helps to wind people down and give them a little break from a hectic lifestyle. We just love it when people buy into that and feel as relaxed and of course welcomed as you did. If you fell like a little madness around December do check out our Christmas party nights. Please do come back and visit us again soon.

Stayed here for a night during the best heatwave we have had in years. Place has a feel of being in someone's house which is more or less what it is but a very fine house. Lovely courtyard and nice grounds to walk around. Really friendly welcome on arrival, knew that my wife was booked in for massage and had all details on it to hand. Room we stayed in was very tastefully decorated, bathroom superb. Think it was the 'Lucy' room. Main part of the stay however was dinner....we were not to be disappointed. I had an unusual combination of poached veal in a Tuna sauce. Was very good, not stunning though as I think it tasted better than it looked and we do eat a lot with our eyes. Waitress was really keen to know what I thought as it was the first time they had served it (needed more capers!). My steak was ordered rare and it came perfectly cooked-real good quality and excellent seasoning on it. Was a nice touch that the owner Joe came around and introduced himself as we were starting dinner too.
Really enjoyed our stay here and will certainly return but will do so more in late Autumn/winter as I think it has a winters feel to it...would like to sit back in the drawing rooms with the turf fire going, a nice Red in hand! As it was we sat outside in glorious sunshine enjoying the vista and a lovely cold beer and there sure ain't anything wrong with that either. If you're expecting everything to be 100% perfect this isn't it (service at bar was slow but then again we weren't in a rush)but if you want a really nice country house to stay in with friendly staff and excellent food that is really well priced then you won't go far wrong

Thank you for a lovely review. We do hope you will come back to say with us in the Autumn. We have some weekend availably on the 1st November and the 9th. In December there will be little time for relaxing as its all Christmas party nights at the weekends . Great fun however with Johnny Be Good and their Abba salute. We hope to see you again soon.

We stayed in Rathsallagh Country House recently and if your looking for a hotel that has something a little different, this is the place to go. The country house is laid out around two courtyards off the main house with the rooms divided between tastefully converted outbuildings with quirky layout and a more modern, but not contemporary block offering larger purposed build bedrooms.

We decided to stay in the Rose cottage which was a lovely room entered from the courtyard to the front with French door opening directly to the walled garden at the rear. We have stayed in many hotels but Rathsallagh is different and special. You feel like you have moved into a fabulous new home with all the comforts and service you could ask for, which is set in the most beautiful parkland setting.

The food is wonderful, as are the staff. This not the first time we have stayed in Rathsallagh and it definitely not be the last.

Room Tip: Try some of the older rooms in the house or off the courtyard, you can stay in a hotel anytime!

Thank you for taking the time to write a lovely review, it is very much appreciated. As you found out Rathsallagh is a special place, and not so big, so I do get to meet and remember our guests, and I remember your visit particularly, such a romantic occasion. And I was glad to see you left the Golf clubs at home for a change. ! It was great to see you both back with us again, I do hope we will see you again soon. Than you once again for taking the time to write.

We had our wedding in Rathsallagh on July 5th , and despite previous scepticism about it being the best day of our lives , it genuinely was . Rathsallagh House and its staff played a huge role in this . Everything was superbly professional . The attention to detail was fantastic . The staff were always so friendly and unobtrusive , and nothing was too much trouble . And the food was truly delicious . Thanks to the fine weather , we had the drinks reception in the walled garden , which was so beautiful and relaxed . The dining room is magnificent yet homely . Many of our guests commented on the quality of their accommodation . Rathsallagh is unique, in that it provides the very best , without ever being posh or pretentious . We would urge anyone contemplating it as a wedding venue to book now. You wont regret it .

What a lovely review, and thank you so much for taking the time to write it, we know that things are very hectic both before and after the big day so we very much appreciate it. The good summer has enabled us to host many of our wedding receptions now in the walled garden, and as you found out it’s a bit magical. Our team here by the way are absolutely thrilled with the praise you have given them,. We have just launched a new video on Rathsallagh by the way, you can link in from the homes page on our web site, it might bring back a few nice memories of the day. Thank you once again for taking the time to write , and we wish you both long life and happiness.

Myself and my wife attended Rathsallagh for a wedding and from start to finish this venue had it all!! We were lucky to stay in The Romantic Room which is fabulously spacious and full of old country charm. One of the many things that I loved about the place was the rustic features that are lost in the new modern generic hotels, the faded pictures, the old rugs, the wood chip wallpaper etc it really is a magical place! I couldn't recommend this place any higher and the sautéed mushrooms at breakfast were to die for, also the locally brewed Craigies cider is highly recommended too, especially with the lovely weather lately! Thank you Rathsallagh for a truly memorable experience!

Rathsallagh is a County House and not a Hotel and you have summed up beautifully what we are trying to create here. Thank you. Also thank you for the mention of Craigies cider, its brewed in the locality on the Craigie farm , so it’s a bit special then to be able to sell it here in the bar. We have just launched a new video on Rathsallagh by the way, you can link in from the homes page on our web site, it might bring back a few nice memories. Thank you once again for taking the time to write your review , it is very much appreciated.
