Owner description: Enjoy a great day out at Ireland's oldest weaving Mill at Avoca Village. Established in 1723, it has grown into an family business with the country's most interesting shops and some of its very best food. You'll find a lovely store here too with throws and blankets from the Mill, fashion, homewares, gifts and a gorgeous café with delicious home cooking. Take a free Mill Tour from the Visitor Centre and talk to the weavers.

Spent an enjoyable morning here and visited the mill to see where the goods are made. Also visited the shop and restaurant. Enjoyed a lovely scone served with chutney and feta cheese. Would recommend a visit.

Take the free tour first, and see demonstrations of hand-weaving. Goods are very high quality but pricey.

Well kept, fully stocked. Interesting weavers facility and gift store a short trip from town center, easily walked to.

It was smaller than we anticipated, but interesting.
We did not try the cafe, but did pick up a beautiful sweater in the shop.

We were there on a Saturday and the hand weavers appeared to be limited on weekends. We were glad that a guy showed us the skill before going on lunch break. Beautiful colors and yarns.

The cafe is a tourist trap: microwaved sausage rolls and other items. My wife liked her soup and scone. All food was way overpriced.
