just spent Fri and Sat night in the Ashdown with my husband. we ate in the restaurant Fri night and was very impressed the standard of food and choice along with the professional service made it a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. the bar food on Sat night was excellant and again we experienced a very relaxed atmosphere. breakfast on both mornings were great with plenty of choice and a very nicely cooked breakfast. looking forward to our next visit and i am definitely going to have a spa treatment as they all seem very reasonably priced.

We stayed in this hotel with two other friends. When we checked in we were welcomed by a very kind, polite and smiley receptionist who directed us to our rooms. Our room was on the first floor at the end of the corridor and we were pleasently surprised by how spacious it was. It also had a big 4 poster bed in it. Our bathroom was really big with a step up to the bath. I have to say we were so pleased with the temperature, appearence and cleanliness of our room. The room facilities were also of a high standard. The hotel gym and heated pool was also very relaxing and added to our trip.
The hotel called our taxi for us that evening and the hotel is very central to Gory only 6 euro in a taxi or if the weather is good a 10 minute walk to all the pubs, clubs and resturants.
The buffet breakfast the hotel has to offer is the best yet I have had in ireland. There was a huge variety of hot food, cerals and bakery.
We had lovely afternoon drinks in the beer garden and the resurant menu was tasty and extensive.
I would reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed at the Ashdown Park Friday 9th - Monday 12th Sepember. We attended tha most amazing wedding, an expierence to savour for ever. The Hotel !!! well, i travel quite alot around the world, business and pleasure and i can honestly hand on heart say the greeting and friendshipe we received was 1st class. I can highly reccomend this hotel, and hope to return soon. Cheere guys for looking after us :-)
