“Friendly Irish B+B”
Reviewed July 31, 2014

We stayed here in July 2014; my husband, myself and our 14 yr old daughter, for 3 nights. Pat and Mattie were both very welcoming and friendly. We had a very tasy full Irish breakfast in the mornings. The location is excellent beside the lovely Benbulben mountain, and close to Sligo town in one direction, and Donegal in the other. The rooms are clean, and comfortable, and the sun lounge is pleasant to sit in the evenings.

I searched trip advisor for a good bed and breakfast in Sligo and we were not disappointed.
We arrived early to check in and were met by Patricia who welcomed us with open arms and made us feel totally at home.
We got lots of information on the local area and took some good advice on where to eat and socialise.
Our room was comfy and clean and our breakfast was very nice with a variety of choice.
A massive thank you to Pat for everything and we will be back.

This was a great and lovely stay (June '14). The staff was more than helpful and polite. Offering a resturant recommendation and details on how to get to the beach nearby. The room was very nice but wished it was a little bigger to accomidate a large suitcase a little better but was still managable. I would recommend the stay as a great value, location and great breakfast. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Great little town, Sligo.

My two girl friends and I stayed here for one night and shared a family room (1 double bed and one single). We were very pleased with the accommodation, clean room, tea/coffee making facility and lovely breakfast with a great view.
The owners were very friendly (and their dogs soooo cute) and even gave us a lift to the local restaurant for dinner which was much appreciated.
We stayed at a number of B&B's in the local area during our trip (we did a horse trail holiday) and this ranked as one of the best. This is a great value B&B and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Brilliant stay once again at Rowanville Lodge. This is the second time we have stayed here. Lovely well decorated room with tea and coffee facilities. The breakfast is the BEST! Which is served in a lovely sun room looking out onto Benbulben.

Pat is a lovely lady and can't wait to come back with the children.

Pat thank you for a lovely stay. Hayley & Ben, Luton

Rowanville Lodge is a must stop for us when we visit Ireland (5 times in last 7 years). We eagerly look forward to each visit to this very well run B&B. The rooms are so nicely appointed with excellent beds. This year it was the only B&B to have a single faucet sink. It seems a minor detail but makes washing up SO much easier and more comfortable. Pat and Mattie are such friendly, helpful and delightful hosts.and will direct you to the best restaurants, sightseeing, nature hikes, horseback rides and more. Of course the highlight is each incredible breakfast in the sunny dining room facing the utterly amazing view of Ben Bulben. If you are adventurous, you will want to climb this mountain (a very doable hike up the backside, not a technical climb of the face). We also love daily walks to the sea on an adjacent farm lane where you may see spectacular sunsets. Don't miss this wonderful B&B experience.

Room Tip: Downstairs are quietest. Our favorite is at the end by the sun room

Thank you for your continued review of our Bed and Breakfast. The dogs are missing your company and decline to go for the sea walks with our new guests without me accompanying them. It was great having you to stay with us again and as always we appreciate your business and taking the time to review. The weather now is very showery and our hot and sunny months of May seem to be in the past. Mattie is still busy in the garden and hope we can get some more sunshine to enjoy the lovely flowers, thank you. We would also like to thank you for posting the photos.
We look forward to you visiting with us again, soon.
Warm regards
