Warm welcome, very good facilities and a super position for exploring Sligo and surroundings.Excellent breakfast and nice rooms. The owners friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean. From Rowanville Lodge excellent possibilities to explore the surrounding (Yeats') countryside and and go for many walks, see the nearby waterfalls or walk along the beaches. Nearby Grange offers nice pub/restaurant at Lang's with good food and for reasonable price.

Room Tip: Rooms to the front enjoy a very good view of Ben Bulben.

RowanVille Lodge B&B is set between mountain and sea. Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 1 night. We were pleased with the immaculate condition of the B&B including our room, the assistance of Mattie and Pat, not to mention the exquisite countryside with views of both Benbulben mountain and amazing beaches close by. You can choose from a selection of breakfast options in the morning at the B&B, individually prepared and catered to your taste. This lovely place in Grange is a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy the rich Irish countryside. The view of the mountains in the area are spectacular.

We enjoyed the 1 day horse-riding trek on the beach and also through the countryside courtesy of the 'Island View Stables' nearby which was an amazing way to see the views of the area (well recommended).

We had dinner in Lang's pub, food was quick, tasty and quite reasonably priced, friendly staff and quiet but nice atmosphere, would have been nice to have a bit of live music, this was a friday night, maybe they have it on other nights not sure! There is also a courtesy car available to bring you back to the B&B.

All in all a great stay, we might avail of the RowanVille self catering accommodation next time with friends and bring the dogs :)

Thanks Pat and Mattie

Good b&b in a great location for climbing Benbulben and exploring the surrounding area. Good beaches nearby. Breakfast was good, lovely room with hot power shower and tea & coffee. Even a bottle of wine if you stay longer than 2 nights. The only fault I would say (and this is merely a personal preference so not necessarily a big deal for most people) is that we didn't want our room serviced and said this, which it then was. The host is extremely nice polite and chatty- though to be honest we were there to read chill out and have some 'downtime' - this is simply again a personal preference so we felt there was almost too much chat at times - particularly when trying to be on time leaving to go somewhere else! For most I would say this is not a big deal - other than that it's an excellent place to stay with plenty of room for your car and anything else.

The hostess is very rude. I said I was coming for one night, she told me it would be 35Eu. When I arrived, she shouted it would be extra, as I was alone. I said I had never indicated there would be more than one person. She dressed me down in front of the whole breakfast room, shouting loudly.

My husband & I stayed in Rowanville Lodge on Saturday 20th April 13. I can honestly say it was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The room was beautiful, very tastefully decorated and the bathroom and bedroom was immaculately clean. Having the tea/coffee facilities in the room was an added bonus. Both Pat & Mattie are great hosts. From the moment we arrived to we left we were made feel so so welcome and I feel as if I have made lovely friends. We certainly will go back to stay there again. Ireland is well known for it's hospitality and certainly Pat & Mattie are in the right business. It was a grreat base to stay for travelling and Sligo city centre was only about 15 minutes away. We had our dinner at Langs restaurant in Grange and our food was beautiful and again the hospitality was great. All in all we had a lovely relaxing time away and some lovely memories. Thank you so much Pat & Mattie.

Myself, my girlfriend and my dog stayed a night here a few weeks ago. Matt welcomed us in and immediately made us feel at home. We didn't meet Patricia till the next day, she was also very friendly and informative, suggesting great things for us to do and see.
Lovely scenery, friendly people and a very clean hotel made this a wonderful place to stay.
