Room was very good. Hotel clean and comfortable except the noise from the mini-bar fridge kept my wife awake. By far the worst part was the breakfast! Bacon and sausages were cold-ish and hard and the eggs were not fully cooked ie. the egg-white was still transparent!
We were there for the Martha Wainwright concert which was great. Could have been a great stay except for the breakfast.

As I started to write this review I realised that Im not a 100% sure if this hotel is three star or four star. However it is in my opinion a three star and barely that....
There is nothing wrong with the radisson in Sligo, except that it is old, tired and bland. Just like any other faceless hotel part of any chain. You get exactly what it says on the tin.
It is definitely more of a business hotel as opposed to leisure, however the three bus tours of Americans, Scots and Brits may beg to differ, especially during the lovely traditional irish session in the bar.
One thing that I have noticed creeping into the four star hotel market is meanness, your toiletries are no longer replaced, no face cloths, and two pillows (we practically had a two beg for more). When you go to the leisure centre, you have to pay three euros for the hat. Ok I will stop the ranting now. On a positive note, the breakfast is excellent and more than generous. It is also located in a nice area of Sligo, near the fantastic beach that is Rosses Point (lovely to jog out to). Sligo is also a great spot, lovelyrestaurants and a buzzy night life.

Having read the reviews on this hotel I was nervous that we had made the wrong choice. I soon found however that the reviews do not reflect the hotel at all. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a number of reasons. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even though we were on a very good weekend package we were upgraded to a business class room. the room was really spacious and comfortable, especially the bed! Super! the bathrooms are modern and clean with some nice toiletries included. Breakfast was one of the nicest I've had in a hotel and served till 11 at the weekend which was great for a lie on. Bar food very tasty and well priced. did not eat in the restaurant, menu did look a little pricey. 5 mins from Sligo town and 5 from Rosses Point, very easy to find. I did not have time to use the leisure facilities but they looked really good. Great value, lovely views, friendly staff, overall thumbs up!

My wife and I Visited Hotel 6th to 10th September along with another coupleon a Newmarket holiday booking . Apart from the distance from Sligo we all found the hotel to be excellent value for money the rooms were clean and the staff, both in the reception and the restaurant were very helpful and extremely friendly. The food served in the restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed our short stay very much.

Our room was slightly shabby, tiles missing in bathroom, smell of cigarette smoke though in non-smoking room, double bed two singles pushed together!! Staff friendly enough after the booking phase, food fine, one particular cockney waiter good fun. Very very noisy, no sleep for two nights with doors banging. Would not return until overhaul.

Cons: dirty carpet and some smudges on walls, few tiles missing in bathroom, scratchy towels, bad toiletries provided (lotion and shampoos) shower door leaks all over floor, not much to do or see in Sligo compared to the rest of Ireland. (Not that that is related to the hotel.) Pros: real air conditioning! large room, comfy and large bed, soft sheets. I kind of wish I'd taken a chance on The Glasshouse or Riverside Suites. Feel like it wouldn't take much to be better than this.
