“Lovely Hotel.”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Although I have eaten here several times when visiting Sligo this was my first time to stay. From my first enquiry to the booking office right up to my leaving I experienced only the most pleasant and professional staff. The staff are the soul of any hotel. I was seeking an over 50 rate and was offered excellent value and a lovely single room on the ground floor which suited my needs. No surcharge. The windows overlooked beautiful scenery. Dinner was included in my booking and the food and service outstanding. Normally eating alone in a hotel is never the best experience but here in Sligo's Radisson Blu you never felt alone as you always had a friendly smile and attention from the serving staff. Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day and a quiet drink on the patio with the newspaper provided free so very relaxing and pleasant. I'll be back that's for sure.

Room Tip: A front room on the ground floor was excellent if you are a little older and travelling alone.

We were at the Radisson Blu for the IWG Seminar. Our room was very comfortable and it was nice that the hotel phoned me to reconfirm the reservation the day before we were due to arrive. The spa area was fine but you need to remember to take a bathing hat with you if you want to use the pool etc. The relaxation room was very welcoming and the girls in the spa area were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was everything we expected with plenty of choice but the hot food, as in many hotels, was on hot plates rather than cooked to order. The restaurant was shut at lunchtime and the bar menu somewhat limited but the soup we had was tasty. We were really lucky with the weather which made the surrounding area look even more picturesque.

The Raddison Hotel is modern and well located in relation to Sligo town and Strandhill. Leisure centre is relaxing and user friendly. Evening meals are varied, interesting and well presented as is Sunday lunch. However bar food is not great. Choice is poor and generally overpriced. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This was my fourth stay here - and this time it was for my first wedding anniversary. I stayed here last year whilst organising my wedding in Markree Castle and left from here on the morning of my wedding as my venue had a wedding the day before and was fully booked. The room was lovely and service was of the high standard I had become used to whilst staying here. I can recommend the spa facility and I got my bridal make-up done here and was very happy with the standard I received, this time I was able to make better use of the swimming pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi which are excellent. We had dinner in the bar area and the food was of a good standard and reasonably priced. The all you can eat breakfast (included) is epic and I can thoroughly recommend it as one of the very best I have come across. TIP If you a couple and want quiet time in the pool area use it in the evenings as no children are allowed in after 6pm and if you think you'd like a treatment such as a massage book ahead as I wasn't able to get one this time as they were busy. I would recommend this hotel and I'd stay here again.

Rosses Point was one of the most beautiful places we stayed in Ireland. The staff was friendly. The rooms and gym were very nice. The spa was awesome!! The staff at the spa were very professional and the facility was best I've been in.

Stayed here for two nights. Location is very accessible to sligo town and easy to find. Check in was fast and reception gave a warm welcome with a smile. i have to say i was a bit disappointed with our room, was our first time staying in a radisson hotel and i suppose my expectations were high! Room was abit small and not luxurious as i had expected. Got a great nights sleep didnt hear any noise thankfully. Breakfast had a good selection of breads, cereals, juices and the usual fry up. Service was efficient with a smile. Ate in bar one evening, bar food menu is really good, well prices with great variety and served piping hot. One small criticism felt the tables in bar were very close together hard to have a conversation without hearing the people at the next tables conversation too! Overall service through out the hotel was good and staff very friendly. would return to stay at the radisson blu.
