Owner description: Located in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and just 30 minutes from Dublin is Ireland’s only theme park and zoo, Tayto Park. With over 100 attractions to experience and enjoy, there is something for everyone; young, old and in between. For the thrill seekers, the Cu Chulainn, Ireland’s first rollercoaster and Europe’s first wooden rollercoaster with an inversion, is sure to get your adrenaline flowing. But that’s not all, there are a huge variety of attractions, 100+ in total. Challenge yourself high in the sky on the Extreme Climbing Walls or Sky Walk, let the kids explore our Playground, Steam Train Express or our Mini Ferris Wheel or take the Tayto Factory Tour, free with entry, and find out the history behind Tayto. And for those who don’t need an increased heart rate to have a good time, enjoy a laid-back stroll through our zoo, where you can interact with the exceptional animal collection, from the mischievous meerkats to the largest of the big cats, the amur tiger.

Tayto park is a fantastic day out for families. So much to see and do. Was impressed at the size of the place and the facilities that are availabe. Play areas for kids are brilliant. Lots of animals to see, factory walk is good, and free crisps at the end is a bonus! We all enjoyed it and will definately return in the future.Very easy to spend a lot of time here and keep everybody amused.

We had had a bad trip to Tayto park on our first trip there where one of the kids fell from the mini sky walk and we had issues with the first aid offered. When we got home we made a complaint and I must say that every issue that we raised were addressed in full and resolved. We decided to visit again we had a ball. The queues for some of the paid attractions can be long and slow depending on the day and crowds but any of the attractions that we decided to queue for were really enjoyable and there is plenty to do if you decide not to go onto any of these (which is great for families with younger children who are too small for the zip line etc). The park has a lovely playground and animal area. The staff are friendly and I have to say now that Tayto park is worth a visit for families of all ages.

Really enjoyed our trip to tayto park, loads of stuff for kids to do plus there is the zip wire for adults and all the animals to look at, the chess board with water jets went down a treat! Park is well maintained and very clean. Only downside I found is that is a little expensive, 12 each for adults and kids and a lot of the activities inside have to be paid for, over 11 euro for dinner so I suggest you bring your own food like we did!

It's a really great day out, lots of animals to see. The highlights were: feeding time for the big cats (A real must see) and watching an owl cough up the digested remains of a mouse (that's normal apparently). And then there's a free bag of Tayto crisps when you leave. Also I loved the mystery tunnel and laughed like a drain. Then my girlfriend didn't like it, which made me laugh even harder!

Factory is open for viewing, but only works on weekdays.
There is a death-slide but that's not "my bag" anymore!
The restaurant has pleasant enough food (child-friendly-feeding-frenzy + nice waitresses)

I think this works really well for families and maybe for couples too
Probably not so good for stags and singles though!
