In the historic village of Stradbally, across from the Electric Picnic and AIRC national festical, well worth a stop, tasty and reasonably priced.

I've only ever had breakfast/brunch here but it's always been lovely. Nice staff, competitively priced food.

Had heard so many positive things about this place and finally got an opportunity to try it this weekend. Disappointing to say the least. Tuna panini turned out to be undercooked standard white roll. Worst apple crumble I've ever tasted - undercooked pastry and bitter apple all mixed together. This was served with powered custard with a horrible yellow skin on top. On a more positive note the coffee was good and the ice-cream was the highlight of an otherwise disapointing visit.

Found this little gem while travelling from the midlands to wexford. Its just across the road from the electric picnic venue. Very convenient location with free parking outside the door. No need to go into portlaoise town for food anymore. The place is really well finished with a lovely food hall area selling some really nice homemade products. This place is obviously owner run and the staff are really friendly and helpful .. a pleasant change to the couldnt care less attitude that i ve experienced in some bigger establishments. The menu is simple yet attractive. There is a very good value full irish til 12 only €7.50. The little extras like the brown bread & toast and the top up of tea was appreciated. Although I didnt indulge in dessert on this occasion, the selection was mouth watering and according to staff all goodies are made fresh on the premises. I will be returning to sample the tasty looking homemade chunky chips with my lunch next time I'm passing.
