We arrived rather early in the morning and this however made no difference, we was instantly taken care of. Offered drinks, breakfast etc. Our room was superb, more than big enough, clean with fantastic spacious en suite. My 6 year old son fell in love with Libby's kindness and they made pancakes together every morning. Libby went the extra mile to make sure every part of our experience was a great one. My son was upset to leave because he had such a good time.We was there for a family wedding that was near by and they even offered to take us and collect us at no cost to us! They really are a very genuinely great family who will help and help and help, There arent many people as nice as they are left these days! Its a beautiful home in a lovely setting. I would give this b&b 6 stars if I could! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Scott, Adele and Dominic

Room Tip: Spiral stairs was a great room. p.s I checked the swimming pool tab as 5 stars but to my knowledge...

We had large family trip to Navy/Notre Dame game, and this was perfect for us! We had six children, ages 4-13, and 7 adults. All felt very welcomed by Libby and her daughter, and kids were making cookies and exploring grounds within minutes of arrival. Home and grounds are every bit as wonderful as previous reviewers have indicated - breakfast in dining room was an exquisite treat!. Access to downtown is easy via bus, which only makes a few local stops and then heads downtown - entertainment value for kids there as well on double-decker bus. Airport not far either. Celbridge is beautiful town, and had good selection of restaurants (see Michelangelo) and shops. Asked my daughter on plane home which was her favorite part of trip (which included football game, trip on ferry to Aran islands, horse rides, etc.) and she said "Miss Libby's." We all left feeling like we have new family and home in Ireland!

Room Tip: They have several distinct rooms, which they'll provide you. Which one you pick depends on wheth...

Having travelled extensively over the years, I was pleasantly surprised by this B& B!
Quality of accomodation, hospitality and food would emberrass many four star hotels!
Best surprise was when I was handed my bill in the morning! About half of what one would expect! Well done Springfield!!!

Just had a very memorable one night stay with Libby and her lovely family and friends. The rooms are all unique- this was our second stay in the Spiral Staircase Room, and are full of charm, history and character.
If you love Hiltons/ Marriotts etc avoid Springfield in Celbridge at all costs. If you want to experience a one-of-a-kind country home in a lovely setting close to the motorway, shopping, horse country yet with a true rural feel this is the place for you.
Irish hostpitality (with an American twist) at it's finest! We're already looking for excuses to stay again, and for longer next year.
Thanks Libby (and Des of course) for all the hospitality and the most interesting guest house and breakfast experience imagineable.

Room Tip: The Spiral Staircase room has 2 doubles and a single, great for families. If you have a big suitcase...

We stayed at Springfield while attending a wedding in nearby Barberstown Castle. We were very very impressed when we arrived at Libby's beautiful 235year old magnificent home and were made very welcome. Libby even drove us to Barberstown to save us the taxi fare. For breakfast we were treated to a wonderful breakfast that included delicious fresh fruit salad, home made pancakes as well as the traditional Irish. At breakfast we were introduced to Des who also lives in Springfield and offers his gift of special healing to guests . Highly Recommended

The missus and me went there during our honeymoon. Loved the stay there! Absolutely beautiful house, cosy and clean rooms, very reasonable pricing, and of of course fantastic hosts. Libby and her daughter were extremely welcoming, their two pugs are funny little creatures and the breakfast was just brilliant (none of the overcooked mash, usually called a "full Irish". Here you get fruits and pancakes, maple syrup, etc)

Bottom line: Never got of a plane and found myself directly at home again:)
