A fantastic taste and atmosfere of this cafe! It's hidden inside the lyons village, great food and wine. A must visit while in Dublin. It's like 20km from city center, but it is worth while the visit.

This is an excellent restaurant with superb food and high class service but I find it rather too snobby to be welcoming. It is a pity because they don't need to have an attitude. I wouldn't hurry back

This restaurant is excellent for a multigenerational special occasion family lunch. Nothing could be nicer on a sunny day than a table in the tasteful conservatory attached to an old grey stone building with views of a verdant garden. The three course Sunday lunch, four courses if you include coffee is good value. There is a two course option but the portions sizes as such than a person with a good appetite would probably need three course to fill up. I recommend the fish maincourse of hake on the menu but changed to sea bass with quinoa, a sliver of aubergine and other garnishes. The icecreams/sorbet were the among the best I have tasted in Ireland. The service is efficient, pleasant and non intrusive. The gardens in view of the conservatory were ideal for children to frolic while the adults lingered over coffee and wine. Hence although the restaurant had a number of first communicant children, their presence did not disturb diners as the children went outside as soon as they had eaten. The wine list offers a number of good value but most of the wine list consists of premium wines way outside most budgets. More cheaper wines under €35 would be a welcome addition but in all other respects the restaurant is exemplary. Highly recommended as is a post prandial canal walk. The canal is accessible through a secondary exit near the restaurant

A beautiful building in equally beautiful surroundings. It would be easy for the management to fall back on this alone, but fortunately they have not. The service was very good and the food was first class.
I had the filet, medium rare, and it was cooked to absolute perfection, yum!
Would go again in an instant!
