The most peaceful, beautiful location you could ask for - a real treat. Eileen and Jerome are a lovely wee couple and very welcoming and personable. They were very respectful and not too intrusive. Lovely wee farm setting with panoramic views of the beautiful county Kerry. Fantastic Irish breakfast cooked to perfection. Bathroom is small, but to be expected in Ireland. Beds are super comfy, and free wifi access was great. Location is a fair way out of Killarney but is well worth it for the peace and tranquility.

The views from this B&B literally take your breath away. You will not get a warmer or friendlier welcome than we did on arrival than we did. The hosts knowledge of their county was very helpful in planning our daily trips. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a most relaxing and comfortable time at Kingdom View. Peter.S. This was my first stop on my trim through Ireland. I stayed 3 nights, but if I could, I would have spent the whole time here. Eileen and Jerome are two of the kindest people I came across. Eileen helped with planning excursions and treated with with such warmth and love...as if I was her own daughter. I will definately be going back to visit!

We spent two nights here, 2 couples. Booked for a good deal bed only on Hosteworld.com- Breakfast - which was grand - was €5 extra.
Nicely appointed B&B. Had all the basics plus a tv room with a lighted fire both nights if we had wanted to use it. Room was basic enough-usual B&B- but had everything that was needed incl tea/coffee. It was slightly cold. We were at the back of the house (no 5) - 2 beds, tiny but adequate ensuite, & view of the mountain behind - our daughters room was to the front - bigger room (no 3) and had one double bed and bigger bathroom & better view.
The people (Eileen & Jerome) were very friendly and we were made to feel that nothing was any bother and we only had to ask. Jerome rang Kate Kearneys when we arrived latish (7.45pm) the first night to enquire if they were still serving meals for us.
As we were there for the other 3 in the party to climb Carantouhil and Eileen would have provided packed lunches etc if they had been needed. We also appreciated that she checked at breakfast the route & expected time back - which although wasn't needed as I wasn't climbing - was very much appreciated.
Certainly this location was perfect for the climb. And it would be for general touring of the area. It is a little far out from Killarney or Killorglin if you want the nightlife there.

Room Tip: Room to the front is better

On our recent Mountainering trip we were very lucky to have chosen one of the best located B&B accomadation in Kerry. We recieved a very warm welcome that lasted througout our stay, nothing was to much trouble i.e Packed Lunches for our day in the Mountains to preparing an evening meal which surpassed our expectations. We highly recomend Kingdom View as a great place to stay and look forward to a return trip. Jerry & Joe.

A very warm welcome awaits at Kingdom View B&B, Proprietors Eileen and Jerome are two of the friendliest most hospitable people you could ever meet. Full of Irish charm and laughter they made our stay funny and enjoyable and we were honestly treated like extended family!

My husband (Nick) and I (37 and 35) travelled in September taking with us my grandparents (83 & 85) who were keen to go back to Kingdom View after visiting 10 years prior to this stay. As they were unable to hire a car we volunteered to chaffeur them around Kerry, revisiting all of the places they had taken in on their previous holiday.

After a long drive in torrential rain we arrived at Kingdom View and were greeted by Eileen. She remembered my grandparents well and a sincere fuss was made serving us with tea and biscuits and a bit time out was taken for a catch up with them. I felt this was nice and added a little personal touch, they were pleased to be remembered so well and I think it made them feel special.

Our rooms were very clean and comfortable and we had plenty of space too. Aside from the bedrooms, the B&B has a lounge and a lovely open fire for the sole use of guests which again is nice as a lot of B&B's wouldn't have this to offer. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, all freshly cooked and great coffee served. Because of the difference in generation which at times was a little tricky, it was decided that we would eat our evening meals at Kingdom View also. I am a fussy eater but all of the meals we received were thoroughly enjoyed and the variety and standard of cooking was excellent. We ate steak, chicken, lamb and salmon all served with chips, veg and flourly jacket potatoes. Jerome sees to the meals and is a trained chef, lucky Eileen I say!! Care and attention we received at meal times not to mention portion size was also faultess.

Both Eileen and Jerome were happy to advise us regarding the attractions in the surrounding area. The B&B is about a 5-10 minute drive from the Gap of Dunloe where you can ride a pony & trap up through the valley. It's about a 15 minute drive from Killarney town and you can also do the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula from here. From Dingle drive back through the Connor Pass for breathtaking views. If you do the Ring of Kerry you need to do it on a clear day and lucky for us the initial rain we had, stayed away and we had a beautiful sunny week. To stay at the Kingdom you will need a car. It is not called Kingdom View for nothing!! The property is very presentable and the view is fantastic. Sheep behind, miles and miles of vast countryside opening out in front of you. The scenery in Ireland is beautiful and this property is in the countryside.

Overall, we had a lovely time staying here. If your looking to chillax for a week or two with a friendly welcome then I cannot praise Eileen and Jerome enough. Give them a little banter and you will receive an extraordinary service. I would like to thank them for all the little things they did in helping to make my grandparents holiday enjoyable and for introducing us to the charm of the Irish.

Kingdom View is a modest place. It's a smallish house, on a narrow road, not really directly adjacent to most of the major tourist attractions (other than the Gap of Dunloe). It's location is unique in that it's about a 20-30 minute drive from pretty much everywhere you'd want to go, meaning you're centrally located for Dingle one day, Ring of Kerry another, and so forth.

And the view. Wow, the view. Out the back is nothing but pasture and the Macgillicuddy Reeks, and out the front is a long view over the valley all the way to the Slieve Mish mountains. The view alone is worth the stay.

The rooms are a bit on the small side, although not cramped for two people. They lack on frills - if you want high-speed internet or in-room cable TV, look elsewhere - but the rooms are comfortable and impeccably clean. The sitting room has a TV if you need your media fix, and it usually has a fire going in the fireplace to boot.

The food is a reliable full irish breakfast, with great homemade baked goods and good, strong coffee. Again, not fancy, but well-prepared home-cooking, and certainly hearty enough to fuel a full day of hill-walking and exploring. You won't leave hungry.

The real treat is the owners themselves. They are quite possibly the warmest, friendliest B&B proprietors I've ever come across. They're helpful with tips for exploring the area, giving great directions, helping you find services you might need, recommending restaurants, and...well, they're just nice people to chat with, too!
