Our family stayed 3 nights at Gorman's and loved everything about it. Eight years ago, my husband and I stayed there and had such a great experience then that we promised ourselves we would return. Our high expectations were met easily. We are outdoorsy types so the remote location is perfect for exploring - nice hikes, Mount Brandon is close by. The view from the House is awesome. It is a bit pricey but since we knew that going in. The town of Dingle is only 10 minutes away so we could get our fix there when we needed it. Ballydavid has a nice pub right on the water, a quick drive. Hopefully it won't be another 8 years before we return again.

Room Tip: Contact the staff directly through their website to figure out the best room given your situation.

This was the most expensive of our B&B experiences in Ireland, but not the best. It has advantages of being located on the far side of the Dingle peninsula, close to a nice walk above the cliffs near Ballydavid. Unfortunately our room was upstairs, which created a challenge just after surgery on both knees, and we were told now rooms remained downstairs. The upstairs rooms all have the roof line slanting down - after awhile it became comical as my husband and I both repeatedly smacked out heads into the ceiling as we walked over to the dresser or TV or tea service. Food was good but expensive. Things I liked least: noise of cars pulling in and out over the gravel lot right outside the bedroom window as people came to eat dinner at the restaurant (accompanied by headlights) and the wet shower curtain in the narrow tub sticking to the body (curved rods might improve this). Things I liked best: less populated area, cliff side walks and views, comfortable common living area, views from dining room and friendliness of hosts.

We stayed here for one night during July 2013 and loved our stay. Although not in city centre, the hotel is located in a picture perfect setting. We found all of the food to be delicious and the crab claws were particularly nice. Although you could go into town / elsewhere we'd highly recommend having at least one meal here.

The staff at the hotel were super friendly and gave us advice on where to run in the morning, and offered rental bikes as well should we have wanted to cycle.

We'd definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a place to stay in/around Dingle.

This is a stunning house to stay in, overlooking the ocean and hosted by an outgoing, warm woman. The room was massive, spotlessly clean with everything you would need from tea making facilities, TV, WiFi, but it had space so I could also do some much needed daily stretches and Pilates for my back. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is on the Slea Head Drive so it's perfectly situated to set off on a tour of the Dingle Peninsula. We would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay there again.

I stayed at Gorman's with two friends and it was wonderful! The view was spectacular - we were lucky to be there on a sunny day! Our room was large with comfortable beds and a great bathroom! The staff were very friendly and gave us great suggestions for hikes and places to hear music in town. We absolutely loved the food! There was a very good selection for breakfast and the evening meal was delicious! We enjoyed every aspect of our stay there!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland, perched on the northern edge of the Dingle Peninsula, outside of the villages. It was a bit tricky to find, but that was part of the adventure. Rooms are spacious, very clean, comfortable and warm. Sile is an attentive, friendly hostess who gave us directions to hike the cliff top walk as well as the Pilgrim's Way over to Kilmalkedar Church, Dunbeg Fort and Gallarus Oratory. The food is all locally sourced, including the Porter (beer), and delicious. Watching the sunset from the dining room after dinner was magical.

My son and I stayed 3 nights at Gorman's Clifftop House. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, made great suggestions and went out of their way to accommodate us; our room was very nice, very comfortable beds, very clean. The food was truly delicious! The location is perfect: great view on the Three Sisters, amazing hike starting right in front of the house (the Clifftop Walk). Mount Brandon is very close and the Dingle Way goes past the hotel. It was a little tricky to find the hotel the first time, but thanks to our hosts who had provided us with good directions via email, we found it.
The food was the best we had during our 10-day trip in Ireland!
We also stayed at the Ritz in Enniskerry and several hotels but Gorman's Clifftop has so much more soul and charm!

Room Tip: We didn't have a view on the ocean, but were perfectly happy as we typically just went to our ro...
