My sister, our long-time friend, and I arrived in Spiddal without reservations after the season was closed for most B&Bs, at night, in the rain and were warmly welcomed by Vera. She encouraged us to rush to town for dinner as most eateries would soon be closing. She was right, but because of her encouragement we were able to enjoy a lovely dinner at Boluisce Seafood Restaurant. The accommodations were warm and comfortable, and the full Irish breakfast was delicious and made from scratch. We enjoyed it so much we remained a second night. The yard was beautifully landscaped and the view of Galway Bay was wonderful. The owners were kind and accommodating, and made our visit delightful.

We were three ladies traveling through Ireland together. We arrived after dark in a rain storm without reservations. We were so warmly welcomed in by Vera. The room was large enough for the 3 of us, very clean and cozy. Beautiful bay views from the windows and quiet, set back from the road. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed another night. Breakfast was great. Vera makes he own scones, breads, and jams to go with the full Irish breakfast which is served at one large take which allows you to meet the other guests. We fully enjoyed this B&B and Vera and Bartley Finney. We plan on going back next year and wouldn't miss staying with them again! Must recommend Ryan's Pub where there is music every night. It is up a side street, just around the corner from the High Street. Don't miss it. No food, just drink and good music!

Stayed here recently for one night while visiting family locally. Vera was very welcoming, allowing us to check in really early (9.30am) and even cooking us a breakfast. The breakfasts were fabulous and the soda bread the best.
The room was comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. The property itself is fabulous, set in large gardens with fantastic views.
Wish we had been staying longer than the one night.

We stayed at this B&B for a full week and were very satisfied.

PRO
- our host Vera is extremely nice, knowledgeable, helpful, with a good sense of humour and a very good cook
- we had the chance of choosing our room, which was quite large for 3 people, good bathroom
- the garden is one of the very best I have ever seen, relaxing after some driving during the day ...
- outstanding breakfast, Vera is very flexible, you ask and she just cook it for you ... fantastic, great variety on offer, everything is fresh
- we had a nice table facing the beautiful garden and the see
- very ample parking lot, safe

CON
- the B&B is a bit outside Spiddal, so you definitely need a car to go out in the evening

But this is the only negative I can think of.

Vera welcomed us into her home and was a most gracious host. We enjoyed tea and Guinness Bread as she told us about the area and gave us travel tips. The room was immaculate and beautifully furnished with a beautiful view of the bay. They even provided an indoor secure place for our tandem bicycle which was our mode of transportation. Vera is a wonderful cook and the breakfast was one of the best we had in Ireland on our 17 day trip. I would recommend this B&B to everyone!

A friendly welcome awaits from the owner. Very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were airy and comfortable with sea views to the rear of the property. The gardens are extremely well maintained and very picturesque. The residence is situated about 10 mins stroll from Spiddal centre and the picturesque harbour. The breakfast is well presented and consists of local and home grown produce.

Over the last 12 years, my wife and I have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotel and B & B accommodation all over Ireland. Based on this, I would assess Ardmor as one of the finest B & B in the country. The rooms are well appointed with panoramic views over Galway Bay to the Burren Hills beyond. Facilities, bedding, carpets and furnishings are to a high standard. Breakfasts are probably the best I have had in Ireland - including that provided at hotels. The hosts, Vera and Bartley, are so kind and friendly. They go out of their way to make you enjoy your stay with them and will help with guidance on best places to see and eat when in Galway.
It's accommodation like this that brings us back to Ireland each year.
