The Burren is a unique landscape .. limestone hills with few trees but covered with all kinds of flowers ... from arctic to tropical varieties. We visited the Purfumery where we watched a film about the Burren and observed the making of perfume from the plants which grow there. They have a lovely little tearoom with delicious homemade soups and breads.

“Great day out”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

We visited here recently with our kids. They loved it. We spent about 3 hours. They played inside and out on the state of the art play ground. We did the walk really nice after we had some tea and buns. Really fresh , hard to get .

“A brilliant place for kids and adults alike”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

I was here recently with two families and their children. We were impressed by the indoor and outdoor play areas, the quality of the food on offer for kids and adults, and the fact that adults don't have to pay for entry. For a relatively small amount kids can spend a few hours indoors or outdoors on slides, swings, climbing nets, a zip wire etc. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas for parents and others to enjoy a meal or drink while watching kids play. There is also a nature walk but our party didn't have time for that on this visit. I would highly recommend this place to any family with young children but also to others just looking for somewhere for a relaxing tasty meal or sweet treat.

“A "MUST" visit if you are in the Burren area”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We visited the Burren Nature Sanctuary twice during our holiday in Kinvara! We have two children aged 12 and 9 and our relatives have two, aged 5 and 3. There was something for them all to do and they were kept occupied for at least two hours. So although 8 euros seems expensive initially it really works out at 4 per hour if you stay the two hours. And my children thought the zip wire was the best they had ever tried. We didnt do the nature walk but I have heard it is worth a ramble if you have time.

We had intended just having a coffee while the kids played but the food looked so good we ended up having lunch, which did not disappoint. Try the "Burren" plate (at 11.50 it is extremely good value, nearly enough for two!). There is a children's menu too which averages about 3 euros. And dont forget to try the cakes, I had the carrot cake which was wonderful.

I would definitely go back, even if I didnt have kids with me next time!

“Great venue for small and big kids alike!”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Went to the Burren Nature Sanctuary for lunch recently. We (three three ladies with lots of catching up to do) had a fabulous lunch. While the menu is not very broad...the food was excellent. I had a delicious goats cheese salad. We were all very impressed with our meals. There was a great choice of homemade desserts and delicious coffee.

This is a great place to meet if you have kids and definately worth a visit. There is an indoor and outdoor play area aswell as the nature walks around the farm. It is great for the children to have a choice, especially when the weather permits outdoor activities. It is only €5 per child (adults go free) in the indoor play area and does lovely healthy pasta dishes for kids (a good change from the standard nuggets offered in most places).
The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is just getting off the ground and is a great addition to the south Galway/north Clare area.
