“Excellent house in a great location”
Reviewed September 30, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We visited the cottage with 2 other family members for a relaxing week and we loved every minute of it! The cottage is in a side road, very close by all the amenities Roundstone has to offer. The property owner also runs O'Dowds café and restaurant which is literally over the road and we must say, he couldn't have done any more to make our stay more pleasant! All in all, a great property which sleeps up to 6 people. Can't wait to go back!!

Nicely located in the beautiful small town of Roundstone. House had great space for us (four) and would also easily suit six persons. Pub and restaurant of the owner ist next door and offers great seafood.
Roundstone offers some nearby walks and great beaches. All of Connemara and the city of Galway can be reached by car within an hour.

“Well located property in beautiful village”

Roundstone is a beautiful village with easy access to the Connemarra National Park.
There are lots of lovely walks nearby.
The property is near to the waterfront. Unfortunately it does not have a clear view of the harbour from inside the property - as we had hoped. The immediate view from the lounge is of a brick wall across the narrow road!
The owner was quick to respond to our problems with lack of hot water and this issue was speedily resolved.
The bathroom was clean and the bath a good size, although the jacuzzi feature did not work.
The bed was very comfortable and the property was spacious. Good food outlets nearby.
Highlight was the traditional Irish night at the Community Centre. A real insight into local life.

#3Fuchia Lane is in an excellent location for touring Connemara visiting historical sites breathtaking scenery and Beautifull beaches It is right in the middle of the village of Roundstone just a few steps from restaurants pubs and local shops The owners were nearby to sort out any initial issues as their excellent restuarant is just across the street
The nearby Shamrock bar also serve lovely food and have great music Two local shops around the corner have everything needed. Clifton is just a short drive with larger supermarkets and lots of cafes and restaurants
Well equipped house and very comfortable beds

We all enjoyed our stay at this well equipped property .The house is set back from the Main Street in a small side road with its own parking space. The owners were helpful and easy to contact at their nearby restaurant and bar . The bedrooms with on suite were ideal for our family group, the beds were very comfortable. We used the available wifi frequently. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to use the washing machine as needed. The house is set in a lovely village with several restaurants and bars so eating out is easy. There is a local shop for for supplies.
We were able to walk to the nearest beaches which have wide sandy expanses too cold to swim in September but very beautiful. We did lots of trips to nearby points of interest and enjoyed the Abbey at Kylemore as well as the circular drive at the town of Cliften. Our only dislike was that some of roads to Roundstone were very bumpy which for one of our party who is travel sick was not a pleasant experience . A great place to stay to enjoy the scenic beauty of Connamora.

“Setting the standard for what a holiday home should be!”
Reviewed September 3, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Ideally situated in the middle of lovely Roundstone village in the heart of Connemara, with the pubs and shops a few feet away and the quay across the road. The house is just right, spacious, well laid-out, well equipped and comfortable. We'd hardly been there a day and it felt like home already. Nick and Margaret, the generous and kind nearby hosts, have obviously put thought and effort in to making sure people enjoy their stays at Fuchsia Lane and have good reason to be proud of it!

Roundstone, Co. Galway, Ireland is a delightful find and #3 Fuschia Lane Townhouse was a perfect place to enjoy the area. The house is lovely and modern and Nicholas and his family were excellent hosts. O'Dowd's restaurant (owned by Nicholas) is just next door and serves quality food. Roundstone showed us such a wonderful time with the Connemara Pony show, the Sunday market and the little shops in the town. The nearby beach is beautiful and Roundstone is a great base for all the little side trips in the area from Kylemore Abbey to Ballynahinch and Clifden. I would definitely recommend #3Fuschia Lane for couples, family or friends as a wonderful place to stay.
