“A great B&B! Stunning Views!”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

I love breakfast!!!>........ and this B&B do a great Brekkie. With Pancakes, Fruit, Scrambled egg and Salmon on the menu,. I was in heaven. My room was super clean, and my bed very very comfy. The owners are incredibly nice (especially Shirley) and what a view of the Ocean from here! Roundstome village has loads to do, and see, and this is a great place to rest between Galway and Clifden. The neighbouring beach is ONLY 3-5 mins walk away, and is arguably the finest beach in Ireland. 5 Stars to this B&B! *****

Stayed one night on a flying trip to visit where Monty Halls had filmed his Great Irish adventure.
Was lucky enough to see the dolphins in the bay below the B+B which has a great position.
This area has everything and worthy of a longer stay.
Shirley and Jackie were pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly hosts who run a nice business which is well equiped (even a selection of phone chargers) and a good breakfast.

We stayed in Errisbeg Lodge one night last august. This Bed & Breakfast is very convenient for Gurteen Bay and Dog's Bay, the two sandy jewels of Roundstone. Just cross the road, walk less than 3 minutes and you'll be right on the beach. The room was spacious and clean and the host was really nice. We really enjoy this place.

We wanted a complete'get awayf rom it all' break and picked Errisberg Lodge from the internet following reading the reviews and looking at the location on line. We were not disappointed, Shirley and Jackie gave us a good Irish welcome, and knew the area really well, giving helpful suggestions and local advice. The view from our window, (at the back of the house) was the mountain behind the house - really beautiful. We walked miles, visited some incredible places in Connemara, watched pheasants and hares, and ate in Roundstone, in O'Dowds a couple of times, (highly recommended). Gurteen Bay was incredible, and truly close to the B & B (although not on the beach itself) - if the weather was better, you could be forgiven for believing yourself to be in a South Sea island lagoon, with the white sands and millpond sea! Beautiful area, which we will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Our room was ensuite, with a shower. It was clean and serviced daily. We could make tea/coffee. No...

5 minutes' walk from Gurteen beach, Errisbeg Lodge was a perfect spot to get away from it all and enjoy the area around Roundstone. Both Shirley and Jack were very helpful and welcoming - Jack even gave us a lift to the bus back to Galway on the Sunday morning so couldn't ask for anything more!

The picturesque situated Errisbeg Lodge is an ideal base for touring the lovely Connemara area. The backyard offers a breathtaking view on the Errisbeg (mountain), horses and a donkey included. The atlantic ocean with its sandy beaches is just a five-minute-walk away. Shirley, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and helped us with books and maps of the region. The rooms are comfortable and clean, there are always fresh tea-cups. We loved it!
