Errisbeg Lodge
Ranked #9 of 13 Roundstone B&B and Inns

We wanted a complete'get awayf rom it all' break and picked Errisberg Lodge from the internet following reading the reviews and looking at the location on line. We were not disappointed, Shirley and Jackie gave us a good Irish welcome, and knew the area really well, giving helpful suggestions and local advice. The view from our window, (at the back of the house) was the mountain behind the house - really beautiful. We walked miles, visited some incredible places in Connemara, watched pheasants and hares, and ate in Roundstone, in O'Dowds a couple of times, (highly recommended). Gurteen Bay was incredible, and truly close to the B & B (although not on the beach itself) - if the weather was better, you could be forgiven for believing yourself to be in a South Sea island lagoon, with the white sands and millpond sea! Beautiful area, which we will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Our room was ensuite, with a shower. It was clean and serviced daily. We could make tea/coffee. No...

5 minutes' walk from Gurteen beach, Errisbeg Lodge was a perfect spot to get away from it all and enjoy the area around Roundstone. Both Shirley and Jack were very helpful and welcoming - Jack even gave us a lift to the bus back to Galway on the Sunday morning so couldn't ask for anything more!

The picturesque situated Errisbeg Lodge is an ideal base for touring the lovely Connemara area. The backyard offers a breathtaking view on the Errisbeg (mountain), horses and a donkey included. The atlantic ocean with its sandy beaches is just a five-minute-walk away. Shirley, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and helped us with books and maps of the region. The rooms are comfortable and clean, there are always fresh tea-cups. We loved it!

We spent three nights at Errisbeg Lodge in May.Shirley welcomed us into her home and gave us lots of ideas for places to eat and sights to see. The rooms were warm and comfortable and Shirley's breakfasts were delicious. Certainly set us up for the day. Connemara and its magic did the rest. The rugged, majestic and tranquil beauty of this area left its mark on us. After spending our days exploring we were able to sit back with a book from Shirley's 'library' and enjoy the peace of the evening. Roundstone,a few minutes drive from Errisbeg Lodge has to be one of the prettiest and most peaceful places in Ireland. We will definitely go back.

A beautiful location, with fantastic views. The rooms were clean and cosy. The welcome was fantastic, with stereotypical local stories. Very good advice on things to see and do. Breakfast was unexciting but perfectly good.

We felt welcomed and appreciated. Our room was very nice and comfortable. There is nothing fancy about this b&b, but it was cozy and perfect for our needs. Breakfast was well-presented, fresh, and delicious.
