“Fabulous welome - wonderful hosts - great breakfast”

My wife and I stayed at Wits End for two nights in July and although the weather dissapointed the accomodation certainly did not. The welcome was genuine warm and friendly and the breakfast kept us going until evening. Spotlessly clean with modern appearance and big bright airy bedroom. Located right on the main street of a beautiful village and next door to a nice hotel and restaurant with good evening meals. I could not find fault and will definitely be back.

My wife and I had a lovely stay at Wit's End. We received a very warm welcome on our arrival. Our room was very comfortable, it was spotlessly clean and we had a lovely view overlooking the harbour. We had a most enjoyable evening in the the local pub, great music and craic. The breakfast was first class, plentiful, well prepared and served with a smile. It would really set you up for the day ahead. The fresh flowers throughout the house gave a lovely feel to the place. It was a lovely experience. We got excellent value and we would love to return in the not too distant future.

We recently had the opportunity to spend the summer Solstice in Roundstone - and had the opportunity to spend the night at Wits End!

Wonderful experience - homey and very clean! Nice touches throughout - but the best was the conversations!

We stayed here on the night of the 11th of July and were very impressed by this Bed and Breakfast. It was spotlessly clean and had those extra touches which make it memorable; such as the toiletries in the bathroom, bone china cups in the bedroom, the provision of biscuits, tea and coffee outside the room and also the provision of books and magazines. A lot of thought and consideration has gone into the care of the guests, it is obvious that customer satisfaction is the most important thing for this family. This kind of hospitality is unfortunately lacking in many of our hospitality services around Ireland, and others would do well to take a leaf out of this family's book. Well done and keep up the good work, we had a really enjoyable stay and thank you so much.

The warm and genial welcome from the moment our feet first crossed the doorstep was characteristic of the whole experience. All the ingredients for the perfect relaxing getaway were here: the stunning views over Roundstone Harbour; the constant supply of tea and delicious homemade cake served with a jovial Irish smile and genuine friendly chatter; the comfortable and well kept rooms, and a traditional Irish breakfast that made a perfect start to each day. If Roundstone is on your list of places to visit, then the Wit's End is a must stay.

My partner and I arrived sometime in the afternoon of Saturday February 12th. The landlady was so hospitable, it came as quite a shock after our negative experience the evening before at a hotel in Galway. As the weather was poor, the landlady brought into the dining/lounge area tea and cake, we chatted together and she told us tales of her experiences as a hotelier in Brighton. The landlady is probably one of the nicest, friendliest, most accommodating hoteliers you could meet. The room was clean and tidy but the bonus in the morning was the view, we were situated at the front of the building. My partner said it was the second best morning view she'd seen in the world after Indonesia. We were tipped to go to a Seafood Restaurant where we ate seafood chowder followed by traditional Irish Stew. We then went for a few drinks in The Shamrock, also tipped by the landlady. Wits End is a must, Roundstone is one of the most beautiful places I've been to in the world and we are both well traveled. You will definitely leave a piece of your heart there, to add, the breakfast was great too, the landlady's mother was at hand to help serve up the breakfasts and we had our first opportunity to try Irish White Pudding! What a stay!

Room Tip: Get a room with the view!

We drove into Roundstone late one afternoon and decided to stay (an early day for us). We walked into Wits End to check on availability and instantly made the decision to stay. Our room had a queen size bed and a very comfortable couch out which we could view the sea nd the mountains. Once we were settled in we were invited to have a coffee and sweet bread before heading out to explore the town on foot. Wits End is surely one of the highlights on our Ireland trip.
