Econo Lodges are not resorts. This place was clean, had an excellent bed and TV. The service was good. You are within walking distance to several restaurants-a Waffle House is next door. You can’t do better for the price.

Clean comfortable basic room at a great rate in a convenient location. Staff friendly and helpful.Takes pets as well. Several restaurants in walking distance and next to interstate
Much better than standard Econolodge

Exhausted from a long day of driving, pulled off interstate to this hotel - reviews appeared good. Young lady at front desk pleasant and kind. Went up to the room, my son opened the door and turned on the light. Immediately I saw a two roaches run across the desk. Turning on a flashlight was able to locate one and show it to my son. At that point we began looking around the room for signs of more bugs. Carpet was dark but we located dried roach carcasses along the wood base of the bed. That was it - we were out of there. When i walked into the front lobby and explained i could not stay and why, the young lady provided a receipt showing no charge to my credit card.
She did not seem alarmed - it was if she knew but was resigned to the fact of the problem. Felt bad for her - we left and drove almost 2 more hours before we stopped. Needless to say next stop was not an Econolodge.

We have procedures in place to prevent this issue and this not a normal standard for our property. Soon as you reported the problem we contacted our local pest control vendor to get this problem resolved. When we arrived between 6:30-7pm on a <30 degree day and entered our room, the heat was off and it was freezing. We had to sit in our coats for 2 hours before the temp. was tolerable. At checkout another customer said their heat was unplugged in their room. Room was good other than that but please don't turn the heat that low!

On behalf of the management and staff of our hotel I’d like to thank you for your recent stay with us. I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay especially with the heater being off. We do have procedures in place to have our heat on during cold weather. Your comments will be used to find out why this occured. In order for us to continuously improve upon our products and services, we do take your comments very seriously. We truly failed on our end with condition of your room . This is not our normal standard and actions will be put in place to correct these issues in the future.

My only real complaint was the smoke detectors light doing is thing all night (woke me several times) a loose hair in shower, oil stain on pillow case, busted light shade, they try. GWEN at the front desk was very helpful, very nice. I'd come back here if I needed to be frugal.
