“The Oldest Cracker Barrel”

We went to the Lebanon Cracker Barrel because it's (now) the oldest. The original (and oldest) no longer exists, so the Lebanon Cracker Barrel IS the oldest. It's smaller than some Cracker Barrels, service is fine, food is fine; it's the notoriety of it being the oldest that drew us. We always like the restaurant and the store. It's charming, consistent, somewhat noisy, and the same at every Cracker Barrel--which is a good. You know what to expect and we go often when we travel. As for the ratings, it's not the place to go for romance or a special occasion necessarily, but both of those are what you make of them no matter where you are.

Lebanon is the original home of Cracker Barrel and the Lebanon location is always the best around. Service is efficient and pleasant. Food is always great. Can't go wrong here whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. The crowd speaks for itself.

we went to cracker barrel on a Monday afternoon. it was not crowded at all. we had 3 adults and 2 children. the hostess seated us at a table for 4 and gave us an extra chair. it was very crowded but no one seemed to care. our meal was slow in coming and not as ordered. we had to ask for things not included such as onions and that also took a long time. the manager came around asking if we were enjoying our meal and we told him about the problems and he said okay and just brushed us off. very unfriendly. will not return even though we eat here often.

Fast and friendly Service. Wonderful and creative decoration - old Country style. The "Oldtimer Breakfast" was delicious, coffee very good and tasty. We were there at 6:30 am on October 20, 2013. They are open at 6:00 am. Very good for travellors on Interstate 40 near Nashville, TN.
