We went to the Lebanon Cracker Barrel because it's (now) the oldest. The original (and oldest) no longer exists, so the Lebanon Cracker Barrel IS the oldest. It's smaller than some Cracker Barrels, service is fine, food is fine; it's the notoriety of it being the oldest that drew us. We always like the restaurant and the store. It's charming, consistent, somewhat noisy, and the same at every Cracker Barrel--which is a good. You know what to expect and we go often when we travel. As for the ratings, it's not the place to go for romance or a special occasion necessarily, but both of those are what you make of them no matter where you are.
