I can only recommend this lovely hotel. From the warm welcome to the delicious food, to the extremely thoughtful preparations made for our 11month old baby, if you're anywhere near the area do try and stop in for the night.

We went there with my Girlfriend on our trip around West Coast. Hotel is in quiet village, breathtaking views. Hotel is a little bit "Oldschool" but it's very clean and cozy. Bathroom with shower and bathtub- spacious bed and windows with nice views. We've got food there- BIG portions- which is good, food was lovely, served nicely and delicious- their chocolate cake should be called "SIN"- served with a scoop of ice creams. Best beef baguette ever got in my life! Staff was very nice patient and friendly, Lady and Gentleman at the Reception- very nice and helpful, bar staff took one step forward and we've got delicious sandwiches (we didnt realize that there is no take aways or chippers around lol) in the middle of the night :-) Fair play to staff again. Night was very quiet and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was really big and very tasty. We will visit this hotel again and we will definitely recommend it to everybody looking for nice quiet place to stay.

Hello I stayed at The Carna Bay Hotel on 9th June 2012.
It was OK, I got what I paid for. I reckon it's clinging onto its 3 stars though. I'd say 2/3 stars.
This place is tired. But, the economy has suffered and it must be tough for this place to stay afloat.
The meals were piled high. Much too much to eat it all.
Maybe i expect too much with hotels usually trying to out-do each other, but not here.

Everything was standard. The surrounding beaches though are some of the most beautiful beaches i've seen. I never knew the beaches were so good and clean. Definitely ideal beaches for young children.

My first time to spend just one night in this beautiful setting, This hotel is an ideal place to just chill out or enjoy the fantastic scenery and beaches that abound here, The hotel itself is clean and efficient with a very helpful and welcoming staff. There is a food bar where one can order a variety of food from just a very welcome pot of tea to a full and tasteful meal with a good menu to choose from. Breakfast is served in an equally beautiful dining room with a great selection of food to chose from to get your day started this is included in the price of the room. Its a very comfortable hotel which you might be more expecting in an urban setting as opposed to this remote but stunning setting and well worth spending a night or more here, in fact basing yourself for a few days here would not be a bad idea. Parking is not a problem and the rooms are very much up to standard. Only word of criticism the rooms are some what exposed to noise from adjoining rooms so should other guests be talking or have TV on it could be a problem. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

This 3star hotel is located in the small village of carna, a perfect get away from it all location with a beautiful clean safe beach near by. The hotel itself is very charming, although old fashioned in decor this only adds to its authenticity. The rooms are small but spotlessly clean, the bed linen & towels were fresher than some 5star hotels ive stayed in. The staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is definitely a high point, beautiful home cooked breakfasts and comforting hearty dinners. If u were looking for a complete get a way this wud be the perfect place to experience it.

Called for lunch on 21st April to be told that we could only have soup and sandwiches as they were too busy with a booking of 150 people for confirmation celebrations, to accommodate us for lunch.
BIzarre.
I didn't know that the tourism industry was enjoying such rude health that it was not possible to cater for an additional two people. The manager was also kind enough to advise me that the next establishment on our route was equally busy and that we would be best going to Roundstone. Luckily they were completely wrong and the next establishment, Glynsk House provided us with an excellent lunch, although they were preparing for a group of 200.
