Springlawn Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #3 of 4 Clarinbridge B&B and Inns
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Springlawn Bed & Breakfast is situated very close to the town of Clarinbridge, where i enjoyed the Oyster Festival this year. Maura (the owner) and her husband Michael were extremely nice and kind people. On our arrival, Michael showed us to our room and explained breakfast times etc. He offered us a cup of tea as well which was very hospitable. Once we were ready, Michael brought us into the town which was totally a first for me! The property is set on a beautiful garden with seats outside. Lovely view of the shrubs ..Maura couldnt cook enough for us the following morning, offering a wide variety of a breakfast menu which included, cereals, jams, full breakfast, or just small breakfasts. The room was extrememly clean and included tv and internet access. I would highly recommend Springlawn to everyone!

Room Tip: I think any room you are given would be of extremely high quality

During our vacation to Ireland in July 2012, we stayed at Springlawn for 2 nights. Our hosts, Maura and Michael, were two of the nicest people that we have encountered during our travels...very welcoming and charming. The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was great. Clarenbridge is only a short bus ride (20 minutes) from Galway.

Maura is a lovely host. The room was more than comfortable. Breakfast was perfectly cooked; we enjoyed watching the bird life at the bird tables during breakfast! I was very grateful for the use of the iron!!! Felt very 'at home' here. Maura was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area with very useful suggestions for our visit. Thanks! I was in Ireland with family in July, 2011 and stayed with Maura and Michael McNamara, in County Galway. First Clarinbridge is on the way to Galway from the south and to the Burren and the Coast from the north and this B & B is very convenient.More important though are the people. Likely, you will not receive a better welcome in all of Ireland. Fresh tea, of any kind, fresh perked coffee, wonderful home baked scones great you as you enter and Michael and Maura are exceptional. The food, the music, the singing, the breakfast: all beyond description! The very best.

Room Tip: Every room is a good room!

Maura was very welcoming, considerate of our 6 month baby and helpful with directions for beach walks or restaurants for dinner.
Room was cosy with the 3rd single bed in but fine for us 2 and a baby.
Breakfast was fab; my poached eggs were the best all week!
A little away from Clarenbridge town (walk took about 15 mins with a pram) and further out from Galway city than I thought but neither bothered us for our holiday.

Room Tip: explain to Maura exactly who and why you're staying

Lovely accommodations! If you want to step into Irish Tradition, this Bread and Breakfast will fit your bill. Good, clean rooms with fine bath facilities. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, done to your order. Maura McNamara operates with experience and Irish charm. I enjoyed my brief stay. I hope they will have a vacancy for me again. Stayed here for a night in mid- July. It was a very peaceful area with a lovely walk down to an inlet of Galway Bay just down the road. The rooms were great...spacious, very clean and comfortable and we were able to use the WiFi no problem! Máire was a fantastic hostess, so welcoming and willing to help us plan our trip. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wishing to visit Galway...
