“Excellent Stay”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

Ms. Geraldine was a wonderful hostess. We stayed two nights and enjoyed ourselves. A short walk from the ferry dock (almost everything is) and central to the pubs and all else aroung the ferry. Geraldine was very helpful, friendly, and had good advise about the island. all in all a most excellent stay.

just in the door from a wee trip down the west of ireland. dont usually do b+bs but there is only one hotel on the island and this b+b seemed to have better reviews, it was lovely, very warm welcome, very clean, lovely poached eggs for breakfast, served with good strong coffee, the lady who owns the b+b (geraldine) is lovely, so friendly, nothing would be too much trouble, our room was ready but some americans arrived early the next morning and only one room was ready so she offered them toast with tea/coffee while they waited, very handy to everything, highly recommend it

My husband and I stayed at Seacrest for two nights in June 2012. We were greeted like we were friends and we left feeling like we were family. The breakfast was perfect, lots of fresh fruit, cereals, breads and of course the Irish fry (which was the best). The bedroom and bath were roomy and very clean.
Thomas and Geraldine were fantastic hosts. they gave lost of recommendations on what sites to see, guided us away from the crowds, which was perfect. We rented bikes, and rode around this peaceful quaint island. They made phone calls to our next destination to make arrangements on our arrival time, they called the Ferry to check the times of arrival, all this was done just out of kindness. They have a nice patio where we enjoyed a bottle of wine and watched the sun set. We found out the Thomas ran the horse and buggies and we arranged a tour of the island, it was a lovely evening when we did the tour and we saw sites that we would have missed if we did the tour on our own, Thomas grew up on the Island so he knew a lot of the history. We would highly recommend this B&B and if you are planning a trip to Inishmore, you would be foolish to just do a day trip as it is such a beautiful island and it turned out to be a highlight of our trip to Ireland. Thank you Thomas and Geraldine as your kindness during our stay was part of what made inishmore so beautiful.

Couldn't possibly be any better, Geraldine is a wonderful host! She even helped us organise a wedding. Her breakfast is amazing! The rooms were spotless, and the horses are kept out the front are beautiful. My favourite place out of a month holiday, better than the 5 star hotel!

We visited our daughter in Irish College in June and stayed overnight in Seaview. Geraldine made us feel very welcome and the house was very homely and comfortable. The beds, duvets and pillows were just perfect - often overlooked in b&b's! The house is perfectly located in Kilronan, close to bars and restaurants .We had a lovely Irish breakfast next morning and would have loved to stay on for another night. It is perfect for short visits to Inishmore. I would feel very comfortable staying there alone also.

I stayed at Seacrest for 2 nights (Wed.&Thurs. May 23-24, 2012) as part of a 10 day western Ireland trip. My brother and I rented a twin room (2 beds). Geraldine greeted us upon arrival and could not have been friendlier or more helpful (and we did have some special requests). During our stay she provided great Irish breakfasts, hot coffee, clean towels daily, and clean rooms. The Seacrest's location near the center of Kilronan is absolutely ideal. We had considered staying out by Dun Aengus but I'm glad we decided to stay in Kilronan. First of all, the Seacrest is just a short walk from the pier. That's nice for your arrival but even better when you leave. We caught the early (8:15) ferry when we departed Inishmore, and it was convenient to simply walk to the pier after breakfast (made early by Geraldine). We rented bikes from the bike rental shop located conveniently about three doors down from the Seacrest. Also, the Seacrest is a short walk from Tigh Joe Watty's which is the best pub on Inishmore (I think we tried them all). And finally, something we didn't discover until we arrived on Inishmore, the Seacrest is located near the road to the "Black Fort". The Black Fort rivals Dun Aengus in magnificence. Perhaps the stoneworks aren't as extensive but it's perch on the sea cliffs is, in my opinion, better. And since the Black Fort is not advertised as a major tourist attraction, we had the place to ourselves. Don't miss the Black Fort! In fact, if I went back, I might skip Dun Aengus and head for the Black Fort instead. It's that good. And it's a heck of a lot closer in proximity to Kilronan. One thing I'd change: I wish I had take a pony & trap ride out to Dun Aengus. Gerladine's son was conducting those rides during our stay. As a couple of young(ish) American guys we were anxious to see everything on Inishmore. We were concerned that the pony & trap thing would be too slow so we opted for bikes. I think that fear was unfounded. They appeared to keep up a brisk pace in my observation. The bikes were fine but don't let anyone fool you. It was a workout and just about all uphill on the way out to Dun Aengus. It was unsually warm (80F+) and we were (not unusually) hungover. I would have preferred to relax in a pony & trap. In sum, the Seacrest is ideally located, clean, and friendly. Thank you Geraldine!

Room Tip: Twin room available so two travellers need not share a bed.
