Spent 2 very pleasant days at Tigh Fitz ( house of Fitz) in June. Penny was very friendly, picked us up from the ferry terminal and gave plenty of good advice. Good breakfast, clean rooms no problems. Loved the islands, walking the wind swept west side along cliff faces the whole way being the highlight .. Make sure to rent bikes and ride around the island too

Penny was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and fine. The location is close enough to the ferry to bike to and easy to find. The rooms were clean, but quite small and decorated quite sparsely. The beds were comfortable. The cost was quite high by Irish B&B standards for the small rooms, but might be on par with other lodging on the Aran Islands. It is a island a half an hour from the mainland. So I rated Value Poor, but it might be Average compared to what else is available if you want to stay overnight on the island.

We stayed at Tigh Fitz during the Ted Fest 2012 - Penny was lovely and welcoming. I had booked a double room by mistake instead of a twin room and she sorted it out immediately, The room was comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and we would gladly stay there again.

Penny was superfriendly, she suggested us to rent a bike and that was a lovely idea! We rent the bike when we went out of the ferry boat and we reached tigh fitz by bike: it is very close to the port, but far from all the noise of the tourists! Penny helped us discover the island, che really knows everything and can suggest you all the good places to visit! Aran islands are gorgeous!
You can leave the bike just around the home, in a nice small garden looking the sea.
The room was very big and very clean, and so was the bathroom!
In the morning we had a very good breakfast (you can choose from a variety of proposition) and then took the bike and went away.
Really a lovely place to stay!

I and my friend stayed here for one night recently, one night too many. After a great day cycling around the island we returned to the B&B to have a shower, After awhile the owner came to our door saying there was water flowing down from our room to her sitting room beneath. I went downstairs and sure enough her ceiling was dripping water, she was quite angry and argued with me in front of other guests. I apologised although I and my friend did nothing other than have a shower as usual. The following morning as we were checking out she became irate and asked us what we were going to do about her ceiling. She accused us of leaving the shower door open and letting water flow directly onto the floor. We told her it was clear she had a burst pipe as the floor in our room was not wet and we had not left the shower door open. She argued with us for 15 minutes again in front of the other guests. I have never been so embarrassed or witnessed such horrible customer service. This experience completely ruined our time on Inis mor.

Room Tip: Don't use the shower!
