“A pleasant surprise”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

Since this is not a chain hotel, we weren't sure what to expect. The reviews on Tripadvisor helped us decide on the property. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the carpet was new. There was a fresh coat of paint on everything. Check-in and check-out were a breeze; Brenda was very nice. The continental breakfast was just fine with us. I didn't hear anyone in the next rooms. I was very pleased with the price vs value.

This the 2nd time I've stayed here. It is a simple, clean hotel with great service. The location is great because though it is in town, it has no commercial buildings next to it and the rooms are away from Rt 43. A great value and the best you'll find here.

The rooms are very clean...however, don't expect accommodations to be like other chain hotels.
The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor using the bathroom! You can hear conversation clear as a bell! No microwaves unless you book one of the 4 suites.
The staff is very as a matter of fact, not overly friendly, but not rude.
If you are passing through and need a quick spot to rest, it is fine. If you need to stay for a while, pay for the suite! At least you will have some space and a microwave!
I must say that it is very clean...and that is extremely important!!!!

We stayed at the Richland Inn in Lawrenceburg while visiting the Amish country in Ethridge, TN. It is locally owned and the ladies at the front desk showed true Southern hospitality! We lacked nothing during our stay there. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast, but well stocked and immaculate. I would not hesitate to recommend the Richland Inn and will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Room Tip: We were in room 211, but I don't think there would be a bad room on the property.

Our AAA Tour Guide listed a Best Western in Lawrenceburg. However, this has been sold to another company, and it looked far from pleasant from the road. Just across the way was the Richland Inn, that looked neat and tidy. We found the nicest lady at the front desk, who gave us a nearby room that was small but comfortable. This is more of a motel than a hotel, but there is nothing wrong with it. We paid $63 + taxes, including a bare-bones breakfast. The receptionist gave us the name of a good restaurant, and we enjoyed our time in Lawrenceburg, especially the antique shops in the "historic" downtown. The neatest thing was seeing the local Amish, driving their buggies "hell for leather" down the streets.

We stayed here on a Sat night during Presidents Day Weekend. We were traveling and needed some where to crash and found this through Trip Advisor. We thought it was very affordable as a hotel we just pulled up to and did not reserve. The room was clean, the heat worked well. Only complaint was the beds were VERY uncomfortable. They are the kind that has the springs inside the mattress so every move is felt by the other party and you kind of bounce and roll around all night long. That is our only complant. Breakfast was a typical free breakfast in a hotel. As soon as a client left a lady came out and wipped down the table and cleaned up. There was a client who came in and had their van wrote on with a blue substance on the windows during the night but we did not experience this.

One word of warning--- DO NOT GO TO THE SHONEYS ACROSS THE ROAD.

We thought it was great having a Shoney across the road but it was not. Steak was leather, hamburger was extremly greasy for a well done hamburger and the salmon had to be returned as it was still RAW and only room temp.

All in all, hotel is clean stop over for a night.

Stayed in town for a wedding. The area is nice. The hotel (sorry, Motel) was nice. It smelled very strongly of bleach everywhere. After our first night, I was sick as a dog. After the second night, it was just too much.
The motel is clean, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. Please, please o please stop with the bleach.
