Dear Seamus

It is just wonderful for all of us to hear about our guests experience of our hotel. I am delighted that the team here made your stay with us memorable.
Our location on the LUAS line is certainly a plus in addition to free secure car parking, leisure center and strong wifi for tourists and business guests alike.
I am glad that you enjoyed your breakfast with us and would like to thank you for your stamp of approval and for recommending us to your friends and family.

Warmest Regards

I spent three days on a business trip at the Maldron. Modern, clean and comfortable if lacking in a little charm. Best thing was its convenient location near the LUAS tram line into Dublin city, making it ideal for a city break with better value prices for being 12km out of the city centre.

My room was excellent, although not blessed with the best of views. That would come looking south towards the Wicklow mountains, but mine was into the inner courtyard. I only took breakfast in the Stir restaurant. The atmosphere under the high ceilings is echoing and a little on the cold side. Food was OK but I would have liked to see more evidence of staff refreshing the hot selection to avoid eggs standing for ages and going solid.

I spent an evening presenting in one of the business conference suites, which was plush and attractive. The adjoining spa too is complementary for hotel guests. Comfortable enough I guess, but lacking sauna authenticity - no cold pool or cold showers - and too full of rules that did not seem to be enforced.

Overall a good experience.

Spent the weekend in Dublin with my partner. Was looking to stay in the City centre but the hotel prices were too high so found this reasonably priced hotel just outside the City. The hotel is close to the tram station (LUAS) which gets you to the city in about 20 minutes. The room was spacious, very clean and quiet. The TV had a few good channels and the wifi was pretty quick. The meals we had were very nice and the staff were very helpful. Would recommend his hotel!

Room Tip: Higher floors on the road side have a great view of the stadium!

We stayed at the Maldron Hotel Tallaght for seven nights during the second week of October 2013. We arrived very early (8:00) from an overseas flight and Ilona gave us our room with no problem. The room was comfortable with a nice queen-size bed and clean sheets. The bathroom was spotless. The carpet, however, was stained, but was vacuumed every day. The room had a TV with a fair amount of channels, but had no refrigerator. It did have an electric kettle with tea and coffee packets. Also wifi was included in the room rate, but breakfast was not.

There were two things that bothered me about the room. The first was you could not control the room temperature. The room was very hot and we had to keep the window open most of the time. The second was the door to the room would slam shut if you did not hold it as it closed. In the middle of the night we were awakened a few times by the slamming of the neighbor’s door.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It is outside Dublin, but the LUAS tram was a five-minute walk away and it took about 30 minutes to get to the city center. We bought a seven-day LUAS pass for €23. The hotel is also across the street from the Square Mall which has two grocery stores and several fast food restaurants.

We took the Airport Hopper shuttle bus which drops you off right across the street from the hotel at the Square Mall. The roundtrip fare was €14 per person.

This was our second stay in the past three years. We would stay there again.

stayed here in October 2013 for 3 nights and overall were impressed. the hotel is ideally situated within a short walk of the tram terminus allowing easy access to Dublin city centre. the hotel was clean well maintained and stylish but rooms overlooking the central area can sometimes be affected by noise if there is an event on. also be prepared to have to give a 100 euro "security" charge on top of your room rate if you are paying cash!! you get this refunded at the end of your stay but It is a bit of an inconvienence when budgeting your holiday as you have to add on this to your allowance!!
