“Great Place For a Celebration”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

Have just returned from White Cottages having spent an amazing weekend there with a group of friends to celebrate my 50th birthday. It is really hard to find the words to express how wonderful this place is.Views to die for, beautiful rooms with lovely decor and the owners Jackie and Joe just the most accommodating lovely people you could ever wish to meet. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they went above and beyond in every respect to make my weekend extra special in every way. We even saw dolphins on our last morning!! my god Jackie and Joe you can arrange anything!!!!!
I would definitely recommend White Cottages whether it be for a quiet weekend away or a celebration with family and friends this place is perfect. Thanks again can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: All rooms good but Harbour Masters is amazing.

The views were lovely, no doubt about that. But don't expect much beyond that.

Our room was the smallest of the eight B&Bs we stayed at while in Ireland. The water pressure was poor and you need to take a fast shower before the hot water runs out.

Breakfast was okay, but not as good as at other places we stayed.

The wifi worked without a problem.

Where do I start??? The meal- fabulous homecook Irish breakfast......the service- we were treated better than family.....the room- what a beautiful view of Kellys Bay......the owners- two of the best people we met in Ireland, and terrific at providing information on roads, tourist sites, things to see, and things to avoid. This was our first night in Ireland after arriving from the U.S. and we had a great night sleep. The short walk into the village of Skerries was wonderful, filled with small restaurants and pubs. There is a small outdoor patio that overlooks the sea and the Irish coast. We could have spent our entire trip at the White Cottages. Highly recommended. Thank you for a terrific visit.

Stayed here for one night. Absolutely excellent - if you're going to Skerries, stay here. It's even a good reason to go to Skerries and have a night or weekend away!

What is is? A lovely B&B, with lovely sea views across Skerries to the harbour and out to sea. It's right on the water (like, it comes to the back of the house), and there's an outdoor area to sit and enjoy the view. The place has been very tastefully decorated - whitewash, New England meets Greece type vibe, and has a lovely homey, relaxed feel to it. You are put instantly at your ease by the owners/staff, and the place is a welcoming, friendly, delight.

Breakfast was delicious (we had cereal, juice, coffees, teas, and a cooked option as well). Very good. The rooms were great: clean & bright, good bed, and of course, more sea views.

I'd look forward to staying there again. The walk home from the restaurants and bars at the harbour is "just the right distance" :-)

they would be like this!

I have now had the good fortune of staying at The White Cottages on two separate occasions. Everything about the place is perfection personified.

- Charming clean, bright accommodation, with spectacular sea views.
- Wonderfully-cooked traditional Irish breakfast.
- Free Wi-fi throughout.
- Very comfortable lounge/dining area.
- Lovely rear sun terrace. Somewhere that you can sit with a glass of wine whilst enjoying spectacular sea views.

Thank you, Joe and Jackie for your warm hospitality and for making my stay at The White Cottages such a comfortable and enjoyable one.

The best advice I could give to anyone thinking of staying at The White Cottages is: Book it now, before someone else beats you to it.

You will not find a better B & B anywhere!

Why White Cottage is not reimbursed by social security?
Such a welcome, a room with a incredible view on the beach, a delicious welcome, sumptuous breakfast and a village with great pubs and restaurants are excellent for health.
And in bonus few seals playing just to the edge.
Really not to be missed. Thank you again to Joe and Jackie for this dream location.

Myself and my boyfriend had a lovely stay at the White Cottages - great room with a beautiful view and fantastic service. The location is perfect, only a 15 minute stroll into the town along a pebble beach. Highly recommended.
