From the moment you walk up to reception you just know you are going to have an excellent stay, at reception they really could not be more welcoming.
Our room was spacious, clean and tidy with tea and coffee provided. The bathroom again is new and the shower has a good power to it. The rooms are serviced daily, again serviced to a high standard.
In the restaurant there is a truly excellent restaurant Manager ‘GERARD O’REILLY’ one of the best we have met on our travels, he will certainly look after you and make sure you have a great meal in the evening, in fact his same high standards were evident with us at breakfast also, a nice touch is him greeting you by remembering your name, top marks to you Gerard.
The bar and coffee areas are also well laid out with plenty of seating, staff are also at the very top of their game, well done Bewleys, you must have an excellent training program in situ.
Location wise, we used the ‘Luas” tram system, the station ‘Central Park’ is about 5-8 minutes walk away, we purchased flexi-tickets just over 6 Euros each (October 2012) which can be used all day on both the red and the green lines, travelling on these trams were quick and the journey into St Stephens Green, for the City Centre took approx 30 minutes.
We truly hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Room Tip: Go for higher up, say the Sixth floor for excellent views.

Only stayed one night in this hotel. It is very well positioned being close to the Luas so easy for getting into and out of Dublin city centre, but the hotel itself is in the middle of an empty new build which is eerie and unwelcoming. This may change over time if the area becomes more inhabited but for now, not recommended for lone travellers who may have to walk from the Luas to the hotel in the dark.

The hotel itself is very plain, nobody spoke to me during my stay apart from on arrival when the reception was cool. The room was serviceable and mainly clean. The hotel had a functional feel, there was no opulence or luxury discernible and for the price I felt this was poor. Breakfast was like being in a school canteen, the food was fine but the ambience was horrible. I would not stay here again.

Dear Valued Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to review Bewleys Hotel Leopardstown.
I am delgited to tell you we have just completed our refurbishment of the public area's including the Brasserie restaurant. This has been completed to a very high standard and has given the entire area a warmer feel.
The buisness district is running at near capasity I am delighted to say creating a welcome buzz about the place.
I do hope you come back to see our improved facilities.

The hotel is located within short walking distance of Dublin's light rail system, which is very convenient. I did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the restaurants. The hotel itself is adequate and meets the needs of a business trip. There are no upgrades but it is clean and provides what is needed. My safe was broken but a service person was available immediately upon my call to assistance. The airport bus service also stops at the hotel which is an economical transport, even though it takes an hour, since the airport is located on the opposite side of city centre from Leopardstown. The only downside was that there was a group staying at the hotel and they were loud and kept me awake until after midnight from what seemed to be a floor above as well as the same floor.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator

Simple but large room, great for local visits not for city center. Public transport in 10 min walk to the Luas that brings you to city centre of Dublin.
Rooms are clean but no extra's just shampoo and bath soap available.

I stayed here many nights during a year assignment in ireland. The company had an agreement that was very low cost for the company, but the taxi rate was outrageous from the airport. Take the bus to save a bunch but it will take an hour. Overall the staff was good and the food was adequate. Just not many places nearby, so not the place for travelers wanting to see dublin.

I recently stayed here on a business trip. I was in a group of 7 and we had all requested non smoking rooms, yet were all given smoking rooms and told this was all that was left (despite booking a number of weeks ago). The entire fourth floor reeks of cigarettes and the room was marginally better but not great. When we complained about this we were simply told that there was nothing they could do. The staff (particularly the duty manager the following morning) seemed to not care at all about this. As a non smoker I personally found this revolting.

The room itself had quite a modern bathroom (albeit with a slightly strange layout with the door hitting the toilet). It had a heated mirror that doesn't steam up during your shower (but the heated area will be too high for many). Outside the bathroom the room deteriorates. There are very few plug sockets and none next to the bed (meaning you can't plug in your phone (aka a mobile alarm clock!) next to you). There are no alarm clocks in the room. The bed is large and fairly firm but comfortable enough, but the duvet is far too hot - several of us commented that we slept very badly as we kept waking up far too hot.

The breakfast was adequate, but nothing amazing.

The queues at reception are sometimes very long.

The lifts are often slow and randomly stop at all floors even if the buttons haven't been pressed.

We managed to secure a corporate rate of EUR76 for one night plus breakfast which is reasonable and also (I guess) indicative of the quality.

The hotel is about 20-30 minutes from Central Dublin on the tram.

All in all I couldn't recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: It would appear that no matter what you ask for when you reserve the room this is completely ignored

Dear Valued Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to review Bewleys Hotel Leopardstown. I was sorry to read that your request was not met regarding your room preference. The hotel was busy during your stay so it was not possible for the staff to move you to a non smoking room.
I do hope you come and stay again and would ask you to contact the hotel directly with your requests and we will endevour to meet your requests.
