I have just returned from having spent 4 night at this hotel. Never again. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful, but several have serious problems and should reconsider their chosen careers. The bedroom and bathroom was a reasonable size, but appeared a little tired looking. The hairdryer didn't work but I had my own so didn't bother to queue to report this. The bathroom wasn't cleaned and the bed wasn't made for 3 days. The bar and lounge tables were covered in dirty glasses and were wet and sticky and you would be advised to clean them yourself as the staff were running around like scalded cats because there were so few of them. There were young guests sitting with their feet on the tables and a group of smokers constantly standing at the entrance to the hotel. This meant that you have to walk through a nicotine fog to gain access. The breakfast had to be queued for and was poorly cooked and poorly served by sour faced people. Don't bother to ask for the toast to be browned, rather than just warmed, as the staff either couldn't or pretended not to understand English. We had dinner at the hotel one night and for various reasons this is an experience I would not recommend. Going through the door leading from reception to the lift was like walking into a wall of heat. The bedrooms were unbearably hot (we spoke to several guests who also complained of this) and as the windows only opened a fraction they did not make any difference to the temperature. Surely air conditioning is a must in any decent hotel these days.
The only good things about this hotel were its close proximity to the Luas, and the WONDERFUL Tai restaurant that was within walking distance.
We will return to Ireland as it is truly a wonderful place full of the most friendly people, but we will not be staying at a Bewley Hotel again.

I stayed for a few nights in the hotel rooms and in one of the two apartments.
Both were not really cleaned, hairs, dirty dishes, dust ..
No fridge in the room, old tv and an unusable eletric iron. The internet connection is extremly slow.. I was just able to work on the ground next to the door.
The Breakfast is poor and the restaurant is nothing special.
There are two friendly employees, the others are absolutely unfriendly and don't like to help.

This Hotel is very well suitated to Dublin City center, the luas is only a short walk away.
The Hotel itself is comfortable and the food is excellent. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

A functional hotel and due to the Luas being a short walk away an ideal base for a trip to Dublin. Minutes from the M50 and the tram brings you directly to Stephens Green or Dundrum town centre. Free parking as well.

Staff were lovely, room very comfortable and great value.

Breakfast a bit pricey if not included in you rate.

I've been in this hotel various times, but just because it's near my client's office.
The breakfast is really poor, no fresh fruit, cereals often old, pastry not worthy to be eaten as the juice is not worthy.
The rooms are just ok, but TV is old and the signal quality is terrible.
The internet often doesn't work, and even when it works, it is so slow that you can barely use it (not for skype or facetime though).
The gym is literally in an hotel room, small and compressed.
You need to queue for checking in, you need to queue for checking out (this morning I queue for almost 15 mins), you need to queue for the breakfast... and you need to queue for getting the key card for the gym too...
