The atmosphere here is lovely and it's one of the few proper wine bars I now of in this area. They open late and i've only previously been here for late drinks and was always drooling over the menu.
SO we finally got to check it out - The food is a little different - somewhere between traditional tapas and grill.
For starters we had the Scallops (a little small) and the tortilla (yum). Followed by the Flash Grilled Feather steak, which seems to be a specialty. The steak is served medium only and even though I usually like my steak pretty rare but it was amazing with a side of rocket and an incredible spicy tomato salsa. We had the chorizo potatoes on the side (big juicy lumps of chorizo).
For dessert we had the Banofee Pie and the Chocolate Fondant - I have to say this is the BEST banofee pie I've had anywhere.
We had a bottle of Rioja and two espressos to finish and including 12% tip it amounted to about €108.00.
The staff are really friendly and there's a great laid back atmosphere. The clientele ranged from smoochy couples to larger groups.
The DART is just around the corner although it called for a 2 k walk home afterwards to walk off a little of the fullness.
Highly recommend the place.
