I was staying in this Travelodge for a 3 days business trip; the hotel was chosen because our customer is locates in the same area - so I did not spend too much time/money to go to the customer and to get back to the hotel. The room was well equipped for such class of hotels, pretty large, with a big and comfortable bed. All room equipment was in a proper order and I did not get any problems. One small bit of disappointments - no free internet in the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

We took our visiting oldest daughter on a one day trip to Dublin. Usually we stay at another nearby hotel nearer the Castleknock Train Station on short day trips but it was booked up.

So, we took a chance that Travelodge was clean, comfortable and safe and booked in. We were not disappointed. Room was spotless and the beds and pillows comfortable. Great coffee machine in the lobby and instant and tea in the room.

You can leave your car in the parking lot and take the 39a and 39 bus lines straight to Templebar. Bus rate was €2.40 each way.

Reception were lovely, helpful staff. Easy access to city centre via bus stop outside hotel(make sure to have 2.48 euro exactly for bus) Rooms are good size but worn. Bed was comfy but couldn't help but feeling that underneath the clean sheets lurked something else! Room smelled of cigarette smoke even though non smoking room. Bathroom was clean but again worn and hole in bathroom door. TV wasn't working when we checked in however staff at reception were quick to sort this out. Breakfast in Diner was tasty and was clean and efficient. I won't be staying here again mainly due to the smell in the room of cigarettes.

Room Tip: ask for non smoking and not on side of hotel that is next to road.

We stayed for one night (2 adults, 2 children) in the summer of 2012. We choose this as we wanted somewhere close to the Zoo and with parking etc. Location is fine. the hotel is easily accessed from the motorway and has ample on site free parking in what appears to be a quiet area.
It's a Traveldoge so you know what to expect - they all look the same.
the staff where pleasant on arrival. The communal areas of the hotel were clean and tidy. The family room had all the things you would expect in a Travelodge - bed, chair, dresser, wardrobe with no doors.
It's a Travelodge - it's functional.
I would use it again if i needed a bed for the night in Dublin in a quiet area with good parking.
