“Another great stay”
Reviewed April 18, 2013 via mobile

This was our 3rd visit to the hotel and yet again we had a great time. The staff from check in to check out where fantastic and very friendly and helpful. The bar has a great buzz about it with a mixture of hotel guest and locals. A pint of Guinness was €4.
The rooms are large, very spacious and clean with everything you need for your stay. There is wifi all over the hotel including the rooms

The food in restaurant was lovely and very tasty. We both had steak and it was cooked to perfection. The breakfast was a bit of a let down not because of the food but by the service. We waited 20mins on a pot of tea even after asking twice for it also the idea of the chef giving you toast at the hot counter just didn't work as on both mornings we had to wait on toast. It would maybe a better idea to bring toast to every table. Don't let this small problem with breakfast put you off as it was only a small and only problem we had.

Over all a great stay and we will be back again.

I stayed at the Bracken Court Hotel whilst on a recent business trip. It did everything I expected of a hotel and I would definitely visit again,

The staff at reception were welcoming and helpful, and we were pleased to learn that the WiFi was all free of charge! The room was extremely spacious, well furnished, and the bathroom was also superb - modern and clean. There was even a speaker in the bathroom ceiling so that you could listen to the radio or television whilst having a relaxing bath.

The food served in the bar is reasonably priced, and I also found everything to be relatively tasty as well. It was refreshing to find that the beer prices were not as extortionate as those of nearby Dublin, and the whole experience was topped off by a great night's sleep in a comfortable bed.

I have a feeling that the surrounding area might get a bit boring after a few days, but it was the absolutely ideal place to stay for one night.

Room Tip: 218/219/220 were all excellent.

Stayed here whilst attending old friends' wedding and the whole stay was delightful! Excellent sized room and very quiet. The breakfasts were just ok but fresh all the same. The wedding couple had their reception meal here and it was a scrumptious 5 course affiar. Just a shame that by dessert, I was so stuffed I had no room whatsoever to enjoy it. The whole experience was lovely - enjoyed even moreso without worrying about the kids!

We stayed at the Bracken Court as part of a Groupon Deal. The staff in this hotel were all excellent in helping us with any issues or queries we had. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was ok, not a massive selection but was fine as we got it included in the price. Our room was big enough but looked a bit old fashioned. There was no silver handle on the toilet which was not something I would have expected from a 4 star hotel. The entertainment in the bar was really good also. The hotel was easy to find from the motorway and there was free car parking. Overall if this hotel came up on Groupon again I would be tempted to book.

I had a business trip in Dublin so this was the closest Hotel. it was ok but not a 4star hotel. had no heating till the evening so decided to go shopping as it was too cold to stay in the room. came back before 9pm and was starving but could get food in hotel as it was ''too late''...had to go to the nearest take away. breakfast average. I would say it is good budget 3star hotel.

We arrived on the 30th March for 5 nights the staff were very friendly and helpful. (We were on a groupon offer) we had a really fab family room it was clean and warm. (no Dvd). We had a lot with us as we have two children. It took two trips from the car park but the staff did offer to help :).
The Hotel is very handy to the m50 and the train station. We visited family in Maynooth and Lexlip which was under an hrs drive away. The highlight of our trip was Newgrange it was less than 30mins away, they have a excellent visitors centre and two sites to visit ( you are bused from the visitors centre) it was all free! The government is doing a scheme on the first wed of every mth! Nice surprise.
On check out we were offered a deal to go back £99 2 nights and one meal!! We hope to use it.
I have to say that there was noise on the first night till about 3a.m(clocks went back) it was coming from a smoking room two floors below (no smell)I didn't ph reception but would have if it continued, the hotel has security and they will go in and tell them to keep it down and move them on. Breakfast was excellent. Full hot and cold breakfast. I ordered poached eggs which they brought to the table. The evening meals included were 4 courses, a good range of dishes, the steak has a €5 supplement which was worth it. The vegetables were a bit lacking so I ordered a side of veg which was ample.
Over all it was a very good experience. Next time we hope to hop on the train/Dart and visit Dublin (book of Kells at Trinity, Dublin castle, grafton st etc)
