This location was exactly how I pictured Ireland. The rolling country hill, the sound of sheep across the meadow, and the view of the bay in the distance...paradise! This was my absolute favourite accommodation during our whole trip in Ireland. The house is gorgeous with lots of space. The views of the countryside from the house are amazing.

The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 downstairs bedroom ensuite and 2 upstairs bedrooms. The one bedroom upstairs had a skylight where we could gaze upon the Big Dipper as we drifted off to sleep. Outside there is a patio area where each morning I had my morning coffee and admired the landscape.

The owner Margo is a wonderful host! She brought us home baked scones and jam when we arrived. They were delicious! Margo even went out of her way to put me in contact with a local lady to help me with my family tree research in this area. Thank you Margo for everything! We will be back!

One of the best places I have stayed in. Owner was very welcoming and nice. House is very clean and surrounded by beautiful views. Can not wait to go back as it is close to many towns such as bundoran and Donegal town along with some lovely walks and treks.

We have a great holiday in Donegal and many thanks to Margo for having us and being helpful in anyway she could.

The accommodation/location was lovely and ideal for us with 3 young kids in toe. As a family, space is important for everyone to get along. The house was spacious for our group of 5. we mainly used the upstairs for sleeping and the downstairs bedroom/ensuite was ideal as our base for washing/dressing the kids (so no need to climb those stairs). The kitchen/dinning room was a good size and it also had a handy utility room to do the cleaning up etc after the day's activity. Kitchen was well stocked with everything one would need, cause to be frank there's only so much the car can bring on a family holiday!! The living room was nice for the kids to play/watch TV and for the parents to relax and charge their batteries at night for the next day adventures. All the services are provided by margo, along with fuel for the fires (if needed) and the heating/electricity included in the very reasonable price for the house. We did recommend to margo (especially during the non-summer lettings) perhaps a dryer would be handy for her guests).

Safety is important to those with young kids and margo has also taken this on-board. Accessible sockets have been closed off to kids and the stairs has safety gates both top & bottom.

With kids the outside space is a must and her garden is a nice size for the kids to explore while I mastered my cookery skills on the BBQ. The site is off a quite road so we didnt have to monitor the kids too much with regard to their safety etc.

Location wise it was a great base to explorer the southern part of the county with local towns nearby and plenty activities for the kids to take part in. A Beach nearby was great for walks etc and there are plenty more beaches within a short car journey.

We'd thoroughly recommend the house for anybody looking to holiday in donegal and especially for families with young kids.

This is a lovely house with a beautiful garden which is clearly a labour of love in progress for the owners. There are wonderful views of the countryside and the coast; the house has large windows and easily accessible patios. You are right in the country and yet not far from Donegal Town which has everything you might need. There is a lovely - and quiet - beach about three miles down the road, plus a peaceful harbour with a restaurant even closer.
The house is spacious and well-furnished with an excellent kitchen and lovely bathrooms. The owners are so helpful, and there are some neighbours not too far away who are also friendly. A great base for visiting a lovely area; perfect if you like walking, history, beaches, flora and fauna or just sitting in the quiet reflecting.

“We had a great stay, wonderful time with lots of brilliant memories”

The facilities were great. Location was everything we wanted, close to the golf club, the beach, Donegal Town & Bundoran. Bundoran was great for the swimming pool, the seaweed baths, the cinema & restaurants. The food was great. The kids had a great time and so had we. We headed for Killybegs and on through to Glencolumbkille, what a great trip in the car.
Last but not least, could not say enough about our host Margo. Made us feel at home immediately and that means everything to us as a family. Without doubt our next trip to Donegal will be to stay in Carrig Gorm with Margo

Stayed at Carraig Gorm last August and had a wonderful time. Lovely modern comfortable property. En suite downstairs bedroom was ideal for my elderly parents, two bedrooms upstairs were great for my husband and I and our 15 year old son. Fabulous views front and back. Extremely friendly and helpful owner. Only a short drive to Donegal Town. Would absolutely recommend this property. We've stayed in many cottages throughout Ireland but this one was by far the best!
