From start to finish, a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptional and couldn't be more helpful and accomodating. The V Spa alone would be worth a visit - the kids loved the thermal suite (as did the adults!). Our rooms were spacious, comfortable and most importantly, spotless. Can't recommed it highly enough.

Since I used trip advisor to select this hotel, I thought it only fair to give my verdict. This is a lovely place to stay. All staff we encountered were very friendly and accomodating. Our room was very nice and clean, it was in the new part of the hotel, and the bed was very comfortable and cosy. We ate in the restaurant both nights and were happy with our meals - it's not haute cuisine but it doesn't pretend to be- just hearty comfort food. The wee bar also serves tasty lunches and snacks. By far the best part of our stay was the V-Spa - it's superb! An hour each in the thermal suite (steam room and jacuzzi) with a one hour treatment - all fantastic and very relaxing. Although Ballybofey is small, it is a good base to travel from and the reception staff were very helpful in suggesting were we should visit. We would definitely go back.

I travelled to the Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey with a group of girls for a relaxing spa break. Althouth the exterior of the hotel from the main street is nothing spectaculor, what awaits inside really is fantastic. The new building is absolutely beautiful, comfortable rooms and beds,

The food in the restaurant was fabulous, as was the service. Only problem was deciding what to eat!!! We had a great time in the spa, the treatments were excellent and we all found it very relaxing. When we requested a late checkout it was no problem whatsoever! After enjoying a relaxing lunch in the hotel bar, we left, wishing that we could have stayed another night!

I can’t praise the hotel staff highly enough, everyone was very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much bother.

I am looking forward already to going back to the hotel for very soon, as the girls commented "this definately could be an annual trip". I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel and I have to say it was lovely. It looked a bit small from the front on the main street but looks are deceptive. They have built a beautiful hotel at the back. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good size and spotlessly clean. The restaurant was nice and the food was excellent. Al in all we had a great weekend. I would recommend this hotel as it was really good value for money. We even got free drinks in the bar as there was a promotion on. The Thermal Spa is great - you really should try it out. Very relaxing.

There was only one negative point, our deal included a meal which was 4 courses. Starter and main course lovely but I don't normally take a dessert . I asked if I could have a liqueur coffee instead of the dessert - only a difference of 10 cents on the menu - but they refused. No idea why just said that they did not do that. I was really disappointed but asked them to bring the dessert then. How disappointing - I was just some tiny cakes that looked like they were bought in Iceland and defrosted and put on a plate with synthetic cream -yuck!!!! - not even fresh cream. This was such a simple request and their petty refusal marred what was an otherwise perfect weekend.

Arrived in Ballybofey not knowing what to expect and we were thrilled to find a lovely welcoming reception from the staff at The Villa Rosa.
After a relaxing drink by the fire in the bar we retreated to our room which was tastefully decorated, clean and really comfortable.
We ate in the restaurant where the service, standard of the food and the staff were excellent.
Our only disappointment was that we were only staying for one night and did not get a chance to enjoy all the facilities.
So looking forward to visiting again and spending more time at this Gem tucked away in the lovely Donegal town.

Earlier this year I had the great pleasure of staying in the Villa Rose, Ballybofey. It is absolutely beautiful, everything about the hotel is fantastic. Lovely meals, comfortable rooms and beds, but above all else, the staff are the most pleasant I have ever come across. They will go out of their way to attend to every need. Looking forward to going back there again in the near future.
